Broken Spirit

Short version:
Currently stuck back in Rakata/Tionese/Columni gear for a Set Bonus that is absolute crud because the person playing the class (aka me) obviously doesn’t know better. -_-

Missing my Elegant Dress. Frustrated with HM EC (and the fact that I can only get the Set Bonus from Campaign and if I get lucky enough to have the Consular gear drop + win it). Sick of having like no credits.

My birthday is in about 10 minutes has started by the time I finished writing this and I was looking forward to having an endless party on the fleet (just a little one tonight and most of the day tomorrow), but now I just want to curl up into a ball and cry out of frustration.

Mounts and Implants

So, first of all, I got my implant 🙂 Managed to finally get picked up for a group finder group for a random operation–Eternity Vault (and considering I was locked out for KP, no surprise) to get the last 3 Black Hole Commendations I needed for it. I also managed to get the Tirsa Elite so yay! I no longer have any reason to do Eternity Vault ever again.

Besides that, all my mods are done! Yay. My boyfriend bought me the last Aptitude, I bought my last Mettle, and thanks to various awesome people (well, except for one who only did due to essentially being told to), I got the rest. Thank you guys so much T~T

However, my Surge is now too low. I’m not sure what to switch (Most likely a Crit + Alacrity), but this is a bit of an issue.

At the moment, I probably just need:
1. An Advanced Resolve Hilt 26–will need to take from the Campaign Force-Mystic’s Lightsaber
2. Advanced Battle Enhancement 26 – There is one for like 650K on the Market. It can be gotten from the Black Hole Striker’s MK-1 Boots. However, they cost 50 Black Hole Commendations so it’ll be… a long while before I can afford them.
3. Advanced Adept Enhancement 26 – I need at least one of these to upgrade a 25 one. There are currently none listed on the market right now though. Not to mention if my Crit gets too high (See #5), I may need to switch some Crit + Surge (not many) to Power and Surge.
4. Similarly, if the above happens, I may also need more Advanced Quick Savant. As it is, both I have are 25 so I could probably use two 26 versions of each…and more if my Crit gets too high (I have mostly Crit and Alacrity)
5. Most of the Mettle mods are 25 while all the Aptitude are 26. I actually need 3 Advanced Mettle Mod 26. At the moment, my Crit is at 35.92%. It really can’t be higher. As for why I don’t switch Mettle to Aptitude then–not only are Aptitude more expensive, but the amount of crit the 26 will add isn’t that high–but I do need the Willpower. This can just be modified more in Enhancements. There’s currently no Mettle Mod 26’s up for sale right now 🙁
6. Finally, I still need 6 more Advanced Resolve Armoring 26.

Moving on, set bonuses are attached to the Armoring right? Some of the Campaign Force Mystic armoring is not Resolve and just…sucks. So I will probably end up having the 2 and 2 bonus which isn’t so bad–it’s what I’m used to and the extra 50 force really isn’t a big deal.

but yes, I just…I’m so close. Seriously, credits, stop being so hard to get.

anyway, I’m really not looking forward to Tuesday. I…really don’t want to switch my mods out to a outfit for a set bonus that is useless.

The Infernal

Yep! We got the title 😀 Did it within 2 hours (Only wiped a little on Soa and slightly on the Pylons (we got out alive more or less though) due to the puzzles starting before we even started them up).

Very exciting! Not to mention this means I have EV 100% done! Well, sort of, I still need the Normal mode mount, but that drops from KP too and Kaon. Hopefully we’ll do KP Nightmare and Nightmare Pilgrim soon!

Besides that, I just need one more Advanced Mettle Mod 25 (or 4 26–only have gotten 25’s, but 25 is minimum I need so!) and 2 more Advanced Aptitude Mettle Mod 25/26. And I’m just 8 BH commendations away from the Implant I need.

Depending on how it goes, it seems I may actually need more Aptitude mods…and of course, I’ll have to play around with the enhancements. I wish I had more credits so I could just get this stuff done and over with.

GUESS WHO GOT A M0-GUL THRALL DROID? ME. I FINALLY DID! OMG.

IT DROPPED AND I SQUEED AND OMG. And someone rolled against me 😐 only one person (not anyone in our guild, one of the people we brought) but they rolled a 4 AND I ROLLED A 73! And thank god because if I lost, I would’ve curled into a ball and cried and been depressed forever.

BUT YES. SO SO SO SO SO SO HAPPY.

for the record, besides making my whole guild (and the pick-up people) deaf when it dropped (and dancing around like crazy), I also sang a song about asking Karagga to drop the pet for me please and begging him through actions. I don’t care how silly it sounds or is, I’m convinced it worked.

Now if we could just figure out the Wonderous/Wondrous Egg aka Orochick :/

Worthless

So, today we were doing Explosive Conflict. We finished normal with ease and decided to try the first boss fight on HM. We got them to about 10% the final time (I think we did it 3-5 times before that). I died… a lot. Partially because I would get too far and then not be able to heal but being too close made me lose 25%-75$ if my health and bleh. I’m a shy person so I don’t really feel comfortable telling people to move…even if they have to. I did voice myself a little that last attempt, however, and that seemed to work.

I thought we did okay for our first tries on HM.

And I may have been the only one to feel that way.

Our guild leader whispered me saying how he was going to give me a million, but I’d have to spend it on something I wouldn’t like. I figured it was somewhat gear related (or forcing me to get my Twi’lek so I can make my Scoundrel to level up with my boyfriend so he could make his Vanguard), but if he made me get the mods I wanted, it’s not like I’d have minded. He made a small joke about the dancer outfit (he is constantly trying to bribe me to wear it or one of the slave outfits on raids. I repeatedly say no unless they want to give me like 15 million because I know they won’t do it and I’m not dressing like that.

Back to the subject, I was right about the gear part, but wrong about the specifics. He asked me to use it to get 4 Columni/Tionese pieces for the set bonus and to move my mods and whatnot to them for using to Raid. Now, I think I’ve mentioned how uncomfortable I am to switch things in parts–that also extends to switching things to temporary places. I feel incredibly uncomfortable switching my mods and stuff from gear I plan to keep to some other gear I was hoping I’d never see again with its giant shoulder pads, fan hat, and football player gloves.

I tried to explain that there was no point for me to have them. The Healing Trance thing didn’t help too much as I never had a point where I needed to use it and it had yet to finish cooling down. The 50 extra force is just barely 1 good heal–and with how long it takes to cast since the nerf (2.3 seconds is long when it gets down to the wire–and again, yes, the main healing class gets the slowest big heal), you will honestly just die anyway if it came down to that ever being useful.

I was then made further bad saying our other healer healed more even though there were plenty of times I was healing more and it just sucked.

So now I’m just upset. And I have this stupid million sitting in my inventory to do something I’m going to hate and feel incredibly uncomfortable with and twitchy for something that won’t make a difference at all other than being a waste of money.

may just go cry now or something. I already felt sad enough never being asked to group with people recently Yes, I hate PVP, but it’s still nice to be asked sometimes… Plus, I do have to do it occasionally-especially to get that stupid relic 🙁 and I know I’ll have to hit 2200 ranking for that speeder v-v Not to mention getting to Valor 100 for codexes…

*sighs* .__. I need a pick-me up. And no, a week to my birthday isn’t one.

Edit: After thinking of it more, I realized even more so this won’t make a difference. Ignoring how useless 50 is, the problem is my health gets too low (as I keep getting hit by Toth) to replenish it. Having 50 extra force won’t fix that. Only positioning will.

Recap

So, it looks like the event didn’t start today despite the server problems. I do hope it starts soon considering next week is the last only semi-busy week of the month for me so if it’s in July after that…just lots of craziness, honestly.

Besides that, got two groups today. One for Karagga Story Mode and one for Karagga HM (with those nice people from the guild I did the fastest Lost Island run ever with!). Sadly no pet drop on either 🙁 Though, I did win the Dessler Turbo from HM. Ironically, I still haven’t won the Story mode mount that you can get from KP or EV.

As for gear changes… I’m still freaking out completely. However, I have noticed some change (for the better) which is good. I seem to be healing a bit higher so hopefully that’ll continue to help.

Return to EV NM and Hurt feelings

So, firstly, I’m a very dedicated person. I may run late sometimes (due to whatever), but I will almost always be there. We ran to the store tonight and 15 minutes before we got back, I was replaced by another healer for KP Hard Mode. Now, as everyone should know, I’m pretty much farming KP due to pet-ness. So that hurt. A lot. I’m still kind of upset. Thankfully, the pet didn’t drop, but I just wish they could’ve waited a bit more–at the same time, I’m upset with myself as if I didn’t go to the store (which actually didn’t take long–the lines were what took so long), I would’ve been there.

Moving on, since everyone was still on, we decided to give Eternity Vault Nightmare Mode another shot. And, well, we did it. Took 3 tries, but the first try Soa was aggro’d early (3 of our members weren’t even there yet), second we somehow missed a pylon (finally know why you need to hit 5 of them though), and thus, the third everything went well and smooth (well, more or less, we missed a pylon at the end to break his shield so he enraged–we did pretty well though, but lost 3 people near the end).

We’ll have to go back again though to try for “the Infernal” title…but I think we can do it.

A little down

Today, I got to do my first try at Eternity Vault Nightmare mode! We got all the way to Soa, but didn’t finish.

It took us an hour on the droid. Most of the time due to deaths which were my fault 🙁 I’m…not very good with positioning. It might just have to do with my bad aim that makes me have so much trouble with it, but once someone explains more how I’m supposed to stand, I am good. It can take me a bit to get used to if I have to move a lot position-wise though. Anyway, after getting situated: first time getting to 7% while several other times 5%…finally figured out a good way and got him fully down. Considering he only needs to get to about 3%, we were very close. Rest was very easy… Soa…well, it seems people were having issues with the lightning balls again.

So, Lightning Ball tips:
1. If you’re low on health, USE A MED PACK AND ASK A SAGE FOR A BUBBLE. Holding off will actually make it worse as the lightning will follow you and send electric shots.

2. Always run straight through the boss–do not run around or wait.

3. CLICK THE LIGHTNING AND SEE WHO IT IS TARGETING! Or if you do not have target of target, just head either left or right and see if the lightning you are closed to follows or not.

4. Stay away from the other person’s ball. The explosion will hurt you more than it will hurt them–the other ball can also shock you.

After that, we didn’t reset because it would kill our chance and if we did it perfectly, we’d have just made it… unfortunately, Soa glitched and had enrage-level damage so everyone died almost immediately… which ruined our last shot. Essentially we were screwed either way because if we reset the instance, we’d have lost the timed run buff too.

I just… wish the lightning didn’t seem to give people so much trouble? Besides that, we actually had several people who weren’t full (or had like 0-2 pieces) Rakata so considering, we did really well.

I guess I’m just kind of disappointed as we pretty much had it. Yay for two new codexes at least. We shall hopefully be getting the group together again at another time to try doing Nightmare Soa again so at least if we do, we’ll get another new codex, even if the title will have to wait until another time…

Tiredness stinks & At a Loss

Well, I’m still having trouble sleeping lately so our raid tonight was a bit awkward. I died 3 times (fell of a cliff, blew up on the mine field…though, I guess I lagged into it as I swore I was okay, and died at Kephess) which made me feel bad. Regardless, we did finish it. Still no pet though and the longer without anyone seeing it who plays, the less likely I feel it may be there in the first place. I mean, if the devs can even just say yes or no if it comes from Explosive Conflict, that would be amazing. Regardless, because of this, I may start my Vendor search (and Area Quest* check too) today.

As for at the loss…it essentially is partially due to that. My boyfriend hasn’t really wanted to play (which means no leveling other characters–he says he’s just burnt out with our Sith characters and really wants to play his trooper, but he needs to wait for my Smuggler and I do not have the 1.5 million for her yet…and regardless, I don’t feel like that’s the only reason either) and I have had no luck getting friends to play either. Similarly, most of what I want to do requires an obscene amount of credits that I just don’t have to be blunt. I would need to do dailies every day for about 4 months in order to get to about what I’d need. And that would include buying absolutely nothing so I really don’t know what I’m going to do because if I did dailies every day for 4 months, I would probably never be able to play this game again. if I even made it that far. It is really awkward when you know everyone has more credits than you do. Besides credits, the only other things left are operations which I need to see what my guild is doing first. On Monday, if they haven’t done anything, then I will usually look for a group though…but I think we will be and I hope I’ll stay more awake. I also hope we’ll do NM EV and KP soon, along with Nightmare Pilgrim and HM EV. I want to get all the codexes 😛 (and some of my other speeders)

The only thing I can really do by myself though is explore and while I enjoy exploring, it’s just not very fun by yourself. Exploring Taris all alone kind of sucks (especially as I’m not fond of the planet to begin with) and trying to find vendors and stuff alone sucks too plus it’s just nice to have another set of eyes.

Also, the Parlor Dance is my favorite dance. Makes me sad only Twi’leks get it 🙁

*I know I mentioned I ended up finding one in Hoth later..but I did actually uncover the area beforehand and still missed the quest somehow. It can be very fidget-y with the range.

Rock Climbing in Denova and Pet Peeve

So, I decided to fully explore Denova some more and at this point… I just think if it’s anything, it’s unfortunately a drop. I tried to take some screenshots, but for whatever reason, the button just wouldn’t screenshot anything. I’ve tried switching it to a different button before with no luck so it’s just some weird game issue.

Regardless, we climbed up lots of neat rocks, climbed on Kephess’ force field, and found out Denova is flat (it’s roundness is a lie). It was a lot of fun, at the very least. I do kind of wish the egg-nest-operation thing was true however, as not only would that be a lot of fun, it would’ve made my day to find and just have one pet left.

Continuing on, that brings me to a personal Pet Peeve of mine: Rumors.

If you don’t know something, just say so. Or if it’s a theory, MENTION THAT WITH WHAT YOU WRITE. It’s frustrating when people make things up as it gets people’s hopes up and can even become trolling. But what’s worse is when people just take it without any proof or details and things and put it up all over as if it’s true. Rumors are bad enough by themselves, but it’s even worse when people help spread them. Would just be nice if people would actually do the research once in a while.
