Final thoughts on Inquisitor/Warrior Storyline + Semi-final on Imperial Story as a whole

So after finishing the Inquisitor Storyline and seeing the full Warrior storyline as my boyfriend played next to me, some final thoughts… I shall start with the Warrior Storyline as my thoughts on that are a bit shorter.

One of my favorite things with it was the fact that the Knight and Warrior Storyline connected in the latter part of it. I thought that was pretty awesome. I would say the Warrior ends a bit more abrupt. After your final battle…that is it while the Sorcerer actually has a couple more scenes. One thing I noticed is that people fight you A LOT. There are several fights where you fight the person 2-3+ times before they finally admit defeat (or you have the option to kill them) which kind of reminded me of how much you get backstabbed in the Jedi Knight storyline.

Backstabbings happen quite a bit on the Imperial side though and if there’s one big thing with the Inquisitor and Warrior storylines…it is pretty obvious. I would say the only thing that came a bit surprising on the Imperial side was Quinn’s betrayal–especially if you romance him. I think a lot of people would’ve killed him though if getting rid of certain companions was still an option. (You know what would be a cool Legacy feature? Choosing the companions you want to have with you out of all the ones you get to 10K.) But yes, even if you may have thought Zash was being really nice, you were constantly being told how she’d betray you. A good twist would’ve been more if she didn’t…but she did and she ended up looking like a creepy zombie and got put into your DaShade.

Then Thanaton doesn’t even give you a chance, taking you to a tomb obviously feels like a trap, and it’s kind of obvious he wants to kill you. Ghosts turning on you, despite being nice to them, is also not too surprising. I would say the Jedi Consular storyline had a bit more shock value–with the first villain being someone you didn’t even know and the next, while I actually guessed it originally (“he always knows who has been hit! and he can get to each of them!”) it was Syo who was the ultimate bad, I was still a bit surprised when it turned out I was right.

Regardless, while the Consular’s ceremony at the end was nice, I thought the end sequences with the Inquisitor were really well done–especially when/if you help the ghosts find peace to go on to Heaven (or whatever you believe is after death!). It’s incredibly interesting and really feels like there is a lot more to come. Also, the Darth title being customized to your alignment is pretty cool too (Amidaia is Darth Imperius).

However, the Thanaton fight was pathetic. While having a zoo attack was awesome (if only I could’ve healed them T__T), Thanaton is a huge coward. He ran away. The fact that he wasn’t killed on sight at the Council… seriously. You challenge and you run? Are you kidding me?

Despite that, I did have fun and I really enjoyed the end.

Now, onto the Imperial Storyline itself. Obviously, I still have to finish up Corellia and Ilum (not to mention see the operation storylines), but I figured I’d at least mention some of my feelings. In general, there is a lot of “why can’t you choose to accept that offer”. There’s many things in that sense that pop up. Other ones are where the choice isn’t very clear–like with the Gormak–setting him free =/= letting him go with the Voss…but according to the choice, it does.

However, the really good thing about the storyline is how much it opens your eyes on just the full story of the game. I’d recommend playing an opposite faction character just for that. Voss is amazing on both sides as they have so much information. Even the stuff with the Colicoids is very interesting. Just lots of neat tidbits you really get to learn by seeing both story lines. Similarly, you see a lot of these connections between the different class storylines that also have a bunch of different things in them–not to mention even contain the answers to some holes.

…however, I will say, those connections still make me sad that the Kira thing was not connected with the Consular storyline somehow–but maybe one of the story lines will help explain exactly where it is that these take place anyway. Could be one just takes place later/after… kind of like how the Inquisitor end is obviously after the Warriors.

Anyway, in short, I enjoyed the Inquisitor storyline, despite how obvious some parts were. Warrior storyline was also pretty interesting. And my only issue with some of the Imperial Storyline stuff is still just some of the options you have πŸ˜›

Also, Khem’s ending is adorable. It’s nice how he slowly gains respect for you. Obviously, if you let Zash win (what happens if you help her), the end cutscene is different. I’m happy I let Khem win though. Not helping that backstabbing jerk. And I know Khem cares deep down <3 (And the ending cutscenes with him and his last conversation proved that enough!)

“You had to know I’d love this sort of thing.”

So, working on Corellia and doing Amidaia’s story and we get to this point where she needs an army to storm into Thanaton’s base. She pretty much says how she doesn’t want more people dying for her. She’s seen enough death of people she has cared about and/or who have helped her.

Thus, when I was given a choice to have a storm of ANIMALS go on through? OH YES. And I will heal my butt off to keep them alive. Best. Choice. Ever. My story has won. Thus, I am going to make sure I don’t miss any part of it. YAY.

Edit: They…they killed them. T__T AND I COULD DO NOTHING. NO MERCY NOW.

Edit 2: YAY! Almost done! And since Thanaton is on the Council during the Sith Warrior…Sith Warrior’s ending happens before the Inquisitor.

Edit 3: Emperor’s Voice is what killed us during the Sith Warrior end. It did 23K to me and 15K to my boyfriend…so warning, INTERRUPT IT.

Edit 4: STORYLINE DONE! YAY! I will record until I finish Khem’s story and then stop :3

Edit 5: Showed the choices for Khem. As usual, he hates pity/help πŸ˜›

Edit 6: ALL DONE! Yay! Now onto Ilum…of course, we’ll probably finish Corellia and many other things first. So, I have ended the recording πŸ™‚ You can find it saved here.

Companion Progress

So, Amidaia’s companion progress has been going well. Everyone is 10K except Ashara. Unfortunately, since we still need to finish Corellia, I have yet to see the end of Khem’s story (which I’m guessing is separating him and Zash) πŸ™ Shall look forward to that.

Unfortunately, Ashara will take a while. She’s at about 6.7K right now. Due to the fact that she just “likes” stuff, she only gets 44 per item so I need about 75 of the items she likes (Weapons, Military Gear, Republic Memorabilia, and Cultural Artifacts). …if you’re on Corellian Run and do not want any, let me know πŸ˜€

I probably spent more credits than I should to get to this point. Unfortunately, 2V-R8 is nowhere close (still at 0). I’d like to get him to 10K, but it really isn’t a super huge priority. Regardless, I’d need Cultural Artifacts, Technology, Imperial Memorabilia, and Luxury for him…at least he actually loves stuff though unlike Ashara 😐

But yeah, once I get 2V-R8 up, I will just focus on all the other characters. I just want one of each robot done once so πŸ˜›

Going back to companions being done, I shall do some stuff on storyness:

Talos – His is really cute and his ending shows how old-fashioned he can be. I just think the end was kind of sad, but at least you were able to cheer him up. I think it’d have been nicer if they could’ve reunited though.

Xalek – Kind of similar to Nadia’s (TRAIN ME MASTER. LOOK HOW GOOD I’VE GOTTEN) except he doesn’t really say more than one sentence. The end was cute though. I feel bad about his dad and family however πŸ™

Ashara – I’m not sure if I’m done with her yet? Her conversations are mostly kind of annoying, but I do find some pretty nice. Just…stop blaming me for stuff I have no control of 😐 God.

Khem – Khem is kind of what you’d expect. It’s nice seeing him slowly respect you. Shall look forward to seeing the final cutscene (and will edit when I do)

Andronikos – He mostly just talks about the past. Kind of like with Zenith, his story doesn’t feel like it gets resolved much. Maybe it’s better if you romance him? Just the ending seemed a bit of a cop-out and I wish they did more with it.

Secret Agent Girl~

Slowly going through Cellina’s story. I really do like it a lot. It seems all your choices become apparent right away with how things shape out while with others, it’s either one thing that doesn’t get touched upon again or one thing much later.

Sanju is pretty cool. The date scene was adorable. All holding hands and stuff T~T if only my screenshots didn’t hate working in instances. It makes me sad he didn’t go with your character–even if he was just kind of on the ship doing nothing like all those people on the Consular’s ship. I really hope you get to see him again.

I was also excited to hear more about Gray Star. I was very surprised when I did see him as I expected him to look different. Also was sad not much was said about it. Nor any kind of cameo from Zenith at some point πŸ™ However, with Zenith’s conversations, I do wonder if the “Gray Star” he spoke about was the actual one or actually Sanju.

Anyway, hopefully I’ll get to do more story soon…but I’ll probably have to do the Balmorra Bonus series first. Just…not enough experience to do only class quests, unfortunately. ._.

Speederisk is born

So, after some conversation with a friend of mine, I decided to begin work on Speederisk. Who is Speederisk, you ask? He is my temporary Jedi Knight to get through the story and all his companions to 10K. He hopefully won’t be around for long.

I’m…pretty bad at melee, to be honest. Although, the jumping is kind of fun, I wouldn’t say it is enjoyable to me. I made him a sentinel so I can kill things faster. But yes, we’re just going to try and get Speederisk to about level 35 (so he can do Quesh without dying every 5 steps) and then rush him through the story and then get all his companions up to 10K and he shall be done and I can delete him and make Speederisk II (II may or may not actually be included), my Sith Warrior and do the same.

I was going to do him last, but it gave me something to do while allergies kick both my mine and my boyfriend’s butts (which is leading to us, unfortunately, not being up at the same time as much) and thus, can not play together as much πŸ™

Double eeee! :D

So, a lovely person on tumblr drew Miisha!:

SOOOO CUTE πŸ˜€ Thank you so so so so so much!

Besides that, it was recently brought up just how much Miisha looks like Vette:

Picture of Vette from Fantasy Dimensions

That…was not intentional. At all XD But it kind of amuses me? Especially due to various factors~ Only difference really is Vette is on Body Type 1 while Miisha is on Body Type 2~ …I think everything else is the same though…other than the fact that Miisha is like a pink version of her.

EEEEEEEE :D

So, a very awesome friend (even if he is evil sometimes) let me replace him for Nightmare Pilgrim again! T~T SO I GOT MY ARATECH CORAL! OMGYAY!

And on top of that… I won the boots! YES! So now I only need my gloves! (Though, I will have my 2-set bonus regardless of if I keep this ugly hat or get the gloves) It’ll give me the 4 set bonus then if I bother to care πŸ˜› Speaking of which, I wonder if there will be a transfer set bonus to mod thing in the Cartel Shop…

But yes, thank you guys sooooooo much T~T so happy~

Changes in 1.4

So, this developer blog went up and it is full of all kinds of interesting class changes.

Shall go in order:

-Electro Dart and Cryo Grenade now have a 10-meter range.
-Electrocute and Force Stun now have a 10-meter range.

This…kind of stinks. Our stun is now only 10 meters…I mean, I guess we may be that close in PVE sometimes anyway when we need to stun, but it sucks for PVP.

-Overload and Force Wave have been redesigned. These abilities now knock back all targets within a 15-meter 120-degree cone in front of you. Furthermore, these abilities now knock back all potential targets instantly; they no longer wait for an animation note at the end of the ability animation.

so not good. I can’t aim at all so umm…chances of me hitting someone (which I already had a hard enough time being in range with a full circle) is pretty bad. Also incredibly useless when you are trying to get rid of someone behind you. Yay for at least being instant though but…

Also Resolve changes where if someone is stunned and someone else used it at the same time, it won’t count towards it as it didn’t actually stun the person.

Anyway, now class changes….

Operations, End Game, and Various other things

So, lots of random things to talk about. It makes up for me not writing anything long in a while though I suppose. We shall go a bit in order (as the first two things are connected anyhow and the last thing is pretty much everything else) as we once in a blue moon do so enjoy πŸ˜›

I’m a completionist. If you have no learned this by now…well, I don’t know how you wouldn’t so ummm… anyway, I love to 100% things. Every single thing I play I like to complete. In the case of an MMO where there is no actual finish, but I set several goals for myself.

I love collecting things so those are my main priority when it comes down to thing. For me, gear is more of an object to get me further over a necessity. I will always put not looking like an idiot before better stats. And I wouldn’t even care about getting further if it wasn’t for certain things to collect and the story parts. Like in Pokemon, I could care less about the gym leaders and Elite 4 if it weren’t for the shiny badges and title πŸ˜›

Which brings me to the points that started this. A lot of people make big deals about raiding. If they are not raiding or have new stuff to raid (as they finished all the current stuff), they get bored. Obviously, this is something I don’t really understand. For me, once I see the story, I’m good. I don’t need to do it anymore.

EXCEPT for one small problem. Each difficulty has special codexes and the hard (and nightmare–though, the same as hard) difficulties have special vanity-related items (Just speeders confirmed so far, despite the Wondrous/Wonderous Egg rumors). This annoys me. Why? Because I don’t like feeling forced to do something on another difficulty to collect things. If I feel like doing something on a harder difficulty because this was no easy, fine. But I have no interest otherwise. The only other reason I’d want to, if there were no codexes or etc., were if there were new fights or story elements or etc.

Supposedly, when/if they re-do Nightmare for operations, they will be changing some of the things gotten from it. I do not want this. If you are asking why, you may want to re-read some of the stuff I said, but in case you do not feel like it: I hate when people are forced to do something on another difficulty to collect things. If I have all my gear, I am essentially stuck trying to farm an operation (and I don’t even have many attempts–only 1 for Hard/Nightmare and 2 if it’s on both…and the only thing on both (although, for the Tirsa Elite, you could do normal of both KP and EV) is the M0-GUL Thrall Droid.

However, I hate “rare” drops to begin with. For one, you have to deal with people who just want something because it’s rare. And I can’t stand that. There are people who really want something and to see someone who just wants to show off get it sucks. And I have awful luck in nearly every game I play (whether it be online or offline) and the chances of me getting something I really want is slim to none (however, once I do have it, there is a 90% chance it will show up wherever I go to spite me).

It is essentially kind of like my issue of being forced to do Ranked for a Speeder. Ranked was made for PVPers who wanted a challenge. But now those who easily killed users mercilessly before are downing teams easily enough in Ranked, getting plenty of Ranked Commendations, and are killing users in normal PVP even faster. Can I just say how much I hate PVP/Expertise? Still not looking forward to getting like 25 or so more valor ranks to hit 100 for the codexes :/ And I don’t know if I will ever manage a 2200 rating for the speeder.

I kind of wish nothing was bound. Then at least I could try and buy it from someone. And maybe I would’ve gotten a M0-GUL Thrall Droid months ago because so many people I would see who didn’t even want it would get it. Talk about heart-breaking.

Continuing back to Operations though, I also don’t understand farming full on. If everyone has their gear and everyone has the best they can have of each thing (thus, no need for materials to make them), why still do it? This is something that just boggles my mind. Maybe it’s partially my hate for repetition (so much hate), but it just seems a waste for me…and we all know my stance on doing something just to earn credits 😐

I just wish the difficulties could just be made into something for when people want a challenge without all the special codexes or drops. That doesn’t mean I won’t do it (heck, EVERYTHING always feels like a challenge to me unless it can’t hit me!)–I do like challenges. I just don’t like feeling forced to (Again, while I may not be actually forced by the devs/game itself–my wanting to collect everything does kind of put me in that position). Especially as it’s just what I did before just with a few new mechanics (and most of the time, people don’t even have to change their strategy that much), bosses with more health and that can hit harder, and no new story elements. I just…don’t care.

So, in short:
I really hate the different difficulties of operations and think they’re stupid. This also goes for flashpoints.

Moving on to various other things… I forgot how much Corellia can be such a maze. We only finished the first part and the rest may take a bit. I did get Amidaia’s Mr. Robot Page half up. You can check out her wish list. The only thing is I still want an orange version of this shirt. Unfortunately, still no luck finding one. The Force Initiates Vestments shares the picture with the Inquisitor’s Vestments. There’s also the Savant Vestments which make a black version. However, that looks like…well, a orange version of this legacy top for Consulars. Part of me wonders if the Consular’s Renowned Robe is actually what the Nylite Vest would look like…of course I can’t check since:
1. It’s Jedi Consular only
2. It’s Bind on Pick-up
3. My Sith Inquisitor obviously can’t get to Coruscant.
4. I wouldn’t be able to spend that much to try and test it anyway (I may be tempted though)

Since I don’t plan to raid with her, I may just keep her in the red top (despite its suckiness) once I finish all the flash points and planets and whatnot.

I’ve also working hard on trying to get all of Amidaia’s companions up now that she is 50, but I suck at it. πŸ™ If you are on Corellian Run and have gifts you can’t use…I can actually use all of them so yeah >>

In a happier note, a friend gave me 5 Molecular Stabilizers. I checked the GTN and the Matrix thingys were actually less then the guild was selling them for so I bought them…and then, despite not really wanting to on principal, bought the last Stabilizer from the guild. However, this does mean I can get my Hilt so I sent them off and hopefully I will have a new Hilt sometime later today and then I will be DONE! Edit: HILT IS HERE YAY πŸ˜€

I technically need either the armoring for the Boots or Gloves to keep my 2-set bonus (without the ugly Columni Hat), but considering I still haven’t found a headgear I really like (come on fancy circlet) it’s not a big deal/emergency right now.

I may work on PVPing more due to Valor-ness plus trying to get some gear so maybe people actually want me on ranked and not just when they’re desperate (though, even being desperate isn’t enough). Besides that, I still need about 50 more Daily Commendations for the other daily speeder, I don’t even have a ranking yet so who knows how much I need to work on for the Ranked Speeder, and then I just have to get the Aratech Coral (1 more NP kill to go!) and the speeder HM Kephess drops and then I just need speeders you can buy (or speeders stuck bound–staring at you Korrealis Prince >___>).

Speaking of HM Kephess, I never mentioned how the raid went on Sunday. Unfortunately, nobody was on toda…well, yesterday now so we couldn’t try again, but we had gotten really close. DPS was no problem (in fact, we were DPSing a little too fast if anything) but circles seemed to throw people off, some people had a few issues with Fearful, and one of our tanks seemed to be thrown off a bit. Regardless, our closest was like 5% and 8% or something and they hadn’t even enraged. I really wish we pulled through.

…however, to be honest, I didn’t have as much fun as I’d have liked. I loved the company–everyone did a great job. They were not the problem at all. But…HM EC really has been ruined for me. I just…like I’m trying really hard to enjoy it (and seeing my boyfriend get rejuvenated from the frustration of the guild with how it went was great), but I just can’t. I just had it so killed for me so HM EC may as well just join the ranks of Taral V, Directive 7, and Eternity Vault. Not to mention while I am not surprised by deaths as we try things, repairs = expensive T__T And I just can’t afford so much.

Regardless, we’ll be trying again this Sunday (and then next Wednesday from then on) so I’m keeping my head high in hopes we succeed! It really isn’t their fault at all that EC HM got ruined for me. It’s just too bad it probably won’t get fixed. At the very least, I’m excited people will get gear even if it’s a very long way off for me to ever get gloves (or boots if I get lucky on an NP group). Hopefully I can at least win the Speeder on the first time it drops for us–then at least I’ll no longer feel like I have to do HM EC for myself. Helping other people get geared is fine–and it’ll just be a large stress reliever off my shoulders.

The best stress reliever, however, would just be knowing the truth about the Wondrous Egg. I can just continue hoping I suppose πŸ™
