1.7 on February 12th

So, 1.7 will be hitting the servers on February 12th. Yep, this upcoming Tuesday.

I’d probably be more excited if I wasn’t stressed beyond all reason. I will probably do as much as I possibly can for the event that day and then work on getting reputation from various other things.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a new Cartel pack is out as well (although, I will cry)… but honestly, I just wish I wasn’t so behind already. My codexes and goals list say enough πŸ™

but yes, off to go camp on Ilum

New Cartel Pack

Skip Tracer Cartel Pack is now out costing 360 like usual. I’m patching (unfortunately didn’t get a chance to patch early like I usually do) I’ve finished patching and will be probably buy some to check it out. I’m expecting pets and knowing my luck, I will probably not get any of them.

I think I’ll just have a nervous breakdown over here :3

Apparently the backflip emote is out and the rare ship pets may be out but we shall see… Also a Holo-Shrub disguise which sounds neat.

After Dreadtooth is defeated, Dreadful Resurgence no longer persists. Dreadful Essence must be used to increase Dreadtooth’s difficulty.

About the only part that caught my interest πŸ˜› Time to save up essences and yay for easierness~

1.6 up on PTS

Well…that was fast. Was surprised to see that appear in my inbox! Sadly, no transfers again :/ Regardless, this is the new PVP Warzone–Ancient Hypergates and new space missions…the new space missions sound scary πŸ™ Anyway, here’s some highlights from the Patch notes!:

Added a new Level 50 “Introduction to Group Finder” mission to the Daily Mission Terminal on the Republic and Imperial Fleets. This will be granted when players complete the Advanced Gear mission for their Class.

I kind of hope we can do this~ I like new quests and I’m sad when I can’t do a new quest because it’s limited to a lower level :/

Increased Black Hole Commendations awarded by Story Mode Operations in Group Finder from 5 to 10.

I’m sure people will be excited about this. I would be if I didn’t hate dailies with a passion.

Added a new Level 50 “Advanced Gear” mission for each Class to the Daily Mission Terminal on the Imperial and Republic Fleets.

More quests <3

Tionese gear available from the Tionese vendor no longer costs Tionese Crystals, and their commendation costs have been reduced for most items.

…but I have so many crystals πŸ™

Got mail about the Advanced Gear mission… gave me a use item to talk to someone on Carrick Station and gave me the new game rule: Advanced Gear. Had to speak to Master Zua, the Tionese vendor for Consulars. Got 99 Tionese Commendations as a reward.

Opened up a bunch of the Ancient Artifact Boxes… no crate, but I think if I did get it on the Test Server, I’d cry. I did manage to get 2 inheritance kits though (Main Hand and Chest).

Was able to get the Introduction to Ground Finder quest… requires me to complete 1 Random HM flashpoint using it.

Suddenly got another mail which was about the finishing the Advanced gear mission and the Group finder thing… but I already got the mission (which using the item told me, though, it was still consumed). Also received a Black Hole commendation,.

Anyway, queued for PVP (and PVE I guess to see the reward for the quest)… shall see what happens. Gonna try doing the space missions… can’t find where to buy space stuff with BH Commendations though :/

There’s 6 new Space Missions I believe… gonna go fail miserably.

Edit 2: Well, that didn’t go well…got greeted by a black screen (although, could see some stuff at the borders)… :/ Would submit a bug report, but I can’t see anything so… shall close the game for now and try again later @-@

So, they recently updated with maintenance info and well:

Time: 12AM CST (10PM PST/1AM EST/6AM GMT/7AM CET/5PM AEDT) until 12PM CST (10AM PST/1PM EST/6PM GMT/7PM CST/5AM AEDT)

All game servers, SWTOR.com, and the launcher will be offline during this period. This maintenance is expected to take no more than twelve hours.

Well, I’m hoping since they gave themselves such a large amount of time, it won’t be delayed. While I understand sometimes there just are…I only have a few set hours to get things done and if it gets pushed back too far, I shall be sad T~T

Regardless, I will get up early and stalk the launcher anyway. Not only to patch ASAP, but just incase. *DETERMINED*

Also, thank you to everyone who has offered to give me pets T~T I really appreciate it…especially considering how many are in the box just as rare and how many are in as super rare .__. but yes, I shall be sure to update the lists ASAP and hopefully we’ll manage to get them all T~T

Server Firsts and 1.4

So, if you haven’t noticed, 1.4 is up πŸ˜› While they had one delay, it seemed this went well overall… well, besides the GTN being down and no ETA on when it will be back.

I already changed my offhand and got my new healing skill. Much excitement. Hoping Mr. Robot will have the 1.4 stuff up as I want to update so badly and figure out what I need to aim for πŸ™

Unfortunately, the Hazmat Implants are still 350. So much for them being a mistake. That is ridiculous. Seriously. Especially with the changes to BH Commendations. :/ I need 2 of the Hazmat Force-Healer’s MK-4 system so if you are a Biochem and learn those and feel like helping me out, let me know? πŸ˜€ Since I don’t think I’ll have even 350–let alone 700 anytime soon.

Anyway, while I try to ignore my obvious frustration, I will probably need level 27 stuff (that is 63 right?) so I should try and figure that out. Not to mention due to the whole set bonus by armoring, I will need at least one Advanced Resolve Armoring 27 through the random Hazmat gear off the first boss in HM. That will probably be the main focus, although, getting any of the armorings would be helpful.

In the end, I would at least need 2 made–for my belt and bracers, so I need to hold out for that πŸ™ Then worry about getting one for my Top and Hat and Offhand x__x

…OR NOT. THEY DID IT. THEY USED THE CORRECT ARMORINGS. OMG. EEEEEEEEEEEEE. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS!? NO MORE UGLY CLOTHES.

Regardless, I won’t switch my hat until I do get it as people still keep making such a big deal over this 4-set piece bonus. Oh well, it’s not an issue now. No declines, so may as well just deal with it as with no worry, it’d be silly not to take the bonus (even if I know how to heal without it). While Mr. Robot hasn’t completed updated the Denova Gear (equal to the Dread Guard Gear stat-wise) to reflect the hat and boots armorings correctly, it still has 3/5 right so. And yes, I am using it even if they haven’t properly updated. This blog wouldn’t be around if it wasn’t for my OCPD πŸ˜›

Unfortunately, I don’t know how long I can just keep holding on to the Rakata Ear Piece. It’s getting behind and Crit + Alacrity isn’t popping up. What I may have to do is switch to a Hazmat Force-Healer’s MK-3 Relay (of course, I’ll need to find someone who can make it or get it as a random drop) and then switch out an Aptitude Mod for a Crit mod to get my Crit back. I will need another Augment Kit then, but at least I do have an extra Resolve Augment on me (Actually, I’ll need 3 Augment Kits since I’ll need 2 for the Implants as well…thank god I have enough actual augments) Will be playing around with my stats to see if that will work, anyway. A Mettle Mod 27 actually gives me back the exact crit lost for switching the ear-piece so definitely good. …I suppose maybe I should go and switch the mod already though then and just find a Black Hole Force-lord’s MK-2 Relay in the meantime. …Does anyone have a Black Hole Force-lord’s MK-2 Relay they may be selling or they could make?

So, in general, what I need:
Advanced Resolve Armoring 27 x3 (Dread Gear Offhand actually has a 61 armoring) It seems to be roughly the same cost as a 26 armoring (of course, this could be wrong), but at the moment, that means I’ll need (for a total of 3): 30 Durasteel, 18 Mandalorian Iron, 12 Molecular Stabilizer, 6 Synthetic Energy Matrix, and 30 Zal Alloy. EDIT: May just need 1! (10, 6, 4, 2, and 10) Apparently Belt and Bracers can be modifiable.

moving on, I really wish I could HM TfB. I want that pet so badly. πŸ™ But it most likely won’t happen as things never drop from me and when they do, the chance of me losing is pretty high. Only time I won on my first try was the M0-GUL Thrall Droid (and that took forever to drop…and I’ve seen it 3 times since now -_-). Also want to do 16-man HM so I can help with the caveness.

So, now to the first part of my subject: I’ve stressed myself out so much, this is going to be short and sweet: I think Server firsts are silly and people should just work together.

If I wanted a server first for ANYTHING, it’d probably be a certain pet…but it’s not a necessity…and I don’t think I’d care anyway (I’d be too happy just having the pet to care if I was first or not).

New page~ + 1.4 tomorrow

So, if you hover over the pets section a lot, you may notice the new Fake Pets page. These are just…items or summonable things that some people consider pets that aren’t actually pets either through their behavior or the fact that they are not permanent. I have seen people get confused, especially as some guides actually list some of these as pets despite not being pets.

Also, 1.4 is out tomorrow. There will be a maintenance tonight/early tomorrow morning and will last about 6 hours. Let’s hope it goes well. While I am excited… I’m also mixed about it πŸ™ So much I still have to do… and who knows when I’ll get to do HM and experiment T~T

…though, I wonder if we can do Story mode TfB tomorrow then.

Test server + 1.4 Patch Notes are up!

For the patch notes πŸ™‚ Currently patching on my computer and downloading on my laptop as we speak. Only disappointment is it looks like no character transfers…which is really depressing T__T (Also, looks like no new pets officially mentioned…however, that doesn’t mean much. I kind of hope not though as we have enough mysteries on our hands with the Wonderous/Wondrous Egg/Orochick and who knows what with the Lobelode)

Regardless, some highlights and things I found interesting from the patch notes:
-Obviously Terror from Beyond is out. The new gear is “Dread Guard” (it sounds silly)

-The ground targeting reticule is no longer cleared when a channeled ability completes channeling. (Very nice. This was always a bit frustrating/confusing in PVP)

-Players no longer receive the error message “You cannot cast while moving” when moving, stopping, and then immediately using a ground-targeted ability. (Yay!)

Hmm…

There have been rumors that the test server may go up today. I’m kind of thinking that may be true now that the maintenance has been pushed back 5 hours later at this point.

Just have to wait and see, I suppose. But this can’t just be a normal bug fix O-o

—–The event outfits (the Rakghoul Containment outfit and Sand People Bloodguard outfit) now bind to Legacy instead of binding on pickup.
^Yay~

-Legacy
—Legacy names are no longer unique. New Legacies that are created are now able to use a name that is already in use on the server. All players will be able to rename their Legacies once, at no cost, in a future update.
^Okay… I can understand why they did this, but I can see a lot of people being annoyed about it. Not to mention people who may get confused over others with the same name. However, this also means that users who disliked their Legacy Name will officially have a chance to change it soon.

So, should I keep the Legacy name, Naberrie, or change it to the one I have on the test server–Royal?

—Made minor cosmetic changes to the Character Selection and Character Creation UI.
^Always nice to see things made clearer

Changes in 1.4

So, this developer blog went up and it is full of all kinds of interesting class changes.

Shall go in order:

-Electro Dart and Cryo Grenade now have a 10-meter range.
-Electrocute and Force Stun now have a 10-meter range.

This…kind of stinks. Our stun is now only 10 meters…I mean, I guess we may be that close in PVE sometimes anyway when we need to stun, but it sucks for PVP.

-Overload and Force Wave have been redesigned. These abilities now knock back all targets within a 15-meter 120-degree cone in front of you. Furthermore, these abilities now knock back all potential targets instantly; they no longer wait for an animation note at the end of the ability animation.

so not good. I can’t aim at all so umm…chances of me hitting someone (which I already had a hard enough time being in range with a full circle) is pretty bad. Also incredibly useless when you are trying to get rid of someone behind you. Yay for at least being instant though but…

Also Resolve changes where if someone is stunned and someone else used it at the same time, it won’t count towards it as it didn’t actually stun the person.

To-do List for 1.4?

While whether 1.4 is a full thing or not, it has been more or less confirmed by various interviews that Terror From Beyond will be out in September. Which means if they do put it on the Public Test Server (I’d think so, but who knows), it’ll probably be sometime soon.

Considering I have yet to actually get any kind of To-Do List completed 100%, I expect this to also be a failure (which actually makes me incredibly upset), but I figured I’d at least try and make this get all set up along with an average of about how much each will cost…if anything.
