Gearing just…sucks. I mean, here I am trying to make myself better and it seems I’ll never be able to. I don’t want to suck, but at the same time gear is definitely not at the top of my priority list… but also at the same time, I don’t like not feeling like I have everything ready to go.

Essentially what I still need:
1. Advanced Adept Enhancement 26 – Goes for about 750K. Just need 1.
2. Advanced Resolve Armoring 26 – Goes for about 2 million to 3 million. Need 6.
3. Advanced Mettle Mod 26A – I believe this can actually just be pulled out of Campaign gear so…

regardless, that’s 12,750,000-18,750,000.

And didn’t I recently just state for so many other things, it’d be like 25 million?

so maybe I should just aim for 45 million.

and then curl into a ball and cry because I suck.

The Wonderous/Wondrous Egg Dilemma

So, I sent a ticket asking essentially if I could talk to someone without the instant reply on how they can’t spoil things. To my surprise, they did oblige and I had a lovely conversation with a member of customer support. They felt really bad and understood, but sadly were not allowed to answer 🙁 Even just a yes or no question.

They did, however, say they would try and get a Dev to post in the Orobird topic or my suggestion thread and hopefully we’ll get some kind of hint.

I just want the rumors to stop.

Tiredness stinks & At a Loss

Well, I’m still having trouble sleeping lately so our raid tonight was a bit awkward. I died 3 times (fell of a cliff, blew up on the mine field…though, I guess I lagged into it as I swore I was okay, and died at Kephess) which made me feel bad. Regardless, we did finish it. Still no pet though and the longer without anyone seeing it who plays, the less likely I feel it may be there in the first place. I mean, if the devs can even just say yes or no if it comes from Explosive Conflict, that would be amazing. Regardless, because of this, I may start my Vendor search (and Area Quest* check too) today.

As for at the loss…it essentially is partially due to that. My boyfriend hasn’t really wanted to play (which means no leveling other characters–he says he’s just burnt out with our Sith characters and really wants to play his trooper, but he needs to wait for my Smuggler and I do not have the 1.5 million for her yet…and regardless, I don’t feel like that’s the only reason either) and I have had no luck getting friends to play either. Similarly, most of what I want to do requires an obscene amount of credits that I just don’t have to be blunt. I would need to do dailies every day for about 4 months in order to get to about what I’d need. And that would include buying absolutely nothing so I really don’t know what I’m going to do because if I did dailies every day for 4 months, I would probably never be able to play this game again. if I even made it that far. It is really awkward when you know everyone has more credits than you do. Besides credits, the only other things left are operations which I need to see what my guild is doing first. On Monday, if they haven’t done anything, then I will usually look for a group though…but I think we will be and I hope I’ll stay more awake. I also hope we’ll do NM EV and KP soon, along with Nightmare Pilgrim and HM EV. I want to get all the codexes 😛 (and some of my other speeders)

The only thing I can really do by myself though is explore and while I enjoy exploring, it’s just not very fun by yourself. Exploring Taris all alone kind of sucks (especially as I’m not fond of the planet to begin with) and trying to find vendors and stuff alone sucks too plus it’s just nice to have another set of eyes.

Also, the Parlor Dance is my favorite dance. Makes me sad only Twi’leks get it 🙁

*I know I mentioned I ended up finding one in Hoth later..but I did actually uncover the area beforehand and still missed the quest somehow. It can be very fidget-y with the range.

And then what? + Event Rumors

I get asked this a lot. “So, when you collect all the pets, then what? Just wait for more?” It’s actually a very silly question as I’m a pretty goal oriented person and usually mention that I do have quite a few–just that Pets are my number 1 priority right now.

And what exactly would be all the pets? I believe I’ve stated there’s technically 20 pets confirmed and 24 pets in the game (of course, Beta pets are not counted in this as they are not out yet whatsoever–though, for those curious, it’d be 29 with Beta included).

To be honest, once I get the M0-GUL Thrall Droid, I’d essentially be satisfied as right now, there is no information on how to get the Wonderous/Wondrous Egg. That doesn’t mean I won’t stop trying to figure it out–of course I will! I will constantly keep trying, but I won’t feel frustrated or impatient that I haven’t gotten it yet as nobody has it yet. Nobody knows how to get it. It’s a mystery.

Getting Orochick as well as the M0-GUL Thrall Droid would essentially be the full goal as while I will still keep an eye out of the other 4 pets, they have not been confirmed and thus, I’d rather not drive myself crazy for something that may not even be enabled yet.

But then what would I do, you ask? Well, that’s simple. I’d save up for most of my other goals. For example, I still need 5 million credits for the Ship GTN. Not to mention 1 million more for Both Dummies (as they’re 500K each). After that, I’ll probably either put 2 million towards Rocket Boots, 200K towards the Field Respec, and the 3 million for the Twi’lek and Zabrak races. Though, if I do level up Roseria, I may just need 1.5 million then. Main issue is I do not know how I’ll do leveling up a sage again. However, if my boyfriend and I can get some of our friends to join, I may just try and deal.

After that, it’s a bit of a tie. Besides working on other characters, I’d like to get each (Minus Amidaia and Marilea for obvious reasons) the full Class Experience Boost Perks (275K) and full Exploration Experience Boost Perks (150K) which would be 425K per character (5 other characters = 2,125,000). …I’d also probably have to get it for the being rushed through Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior characters I will be making (that will just be deleted after I get the Companion and Chapter stuff) as they need to at least hit the requirement for Quesh so they can get the shot as to not die instantly 😛 But I’d also like to work on my Mount collection.

But of course, then what? Still easy. I’d like to just unlock everything Legacy-wise for Mari–including stuff she doesn’t need. Would also be tempted to get all the Companion Affection stuff on all my other characters (including Amidaia).

And after that? There’s nothing wrong with saving up credits and commendations for the future now, is there?

Besides that, there are rumors of the Event starting today. It doesn’t look like it is though, but maybe this weekend?

(for the record, it’d be about 16,300,000 to get Marilea all the speeders, all the 1.3 Legacy stuff, the Twi’lek and Zabrak races, Rocket Boots, and the Ship Legacy Unlocks. An extra 6 million would need to be added if I ever tried to unlock all the species, an extra 3,950,000 for the rest of the 1.2 stuff (Dark Side Ability, Rocket Boots/Quick Travel/Fleet Pass Cooldowns), an extra 2,970,000 to get every future character I make all 5 Ranks of Class and Exploration Experience Boosts, Level 1 of Improved Speeder Piloting, and all the Companion Affection Boosts… well, I can probably minus 180K (making it 2,790,000) as I don’t really need the companion stuff on Roseria. For a grand total of 23,040,000… this is why I’m trying to get like 25 million. …too bad it probably won’t happen.

Rock Climbing in Denova and Pet Peeve

So, I decided to fully explore Denova some more and at this point… I just think if it’s anything, it’s unfortunately a drop. I tried to take some screenshots, but for whatever reason, the button just wouldn’t screenshot anything. I’ve tried switching it to a different button before with no luck so it’s just some weird game issue.

Regardless, we climbed up lots of neat rocks, climbed on Kephess’ force field, and found out Denova is flat (it’s roundness is a lie). It was a lot of fun, at the very least. I do kind of wish the egg-nest-operation thing was true however, as not only would that be a lot of fun, it would’ve made my day to find and just have one pet left.

Continuing on, that brings me to a personal Pet Peeve of mine: Rumors.

If you don’t know something, just say so. Or if it’s a theory, MENTION THAT WITH WHAT YOU WRITE. It’s frustrating when people make things up as it gets people’s hopes up and can even become trolling. But what’s worse is when people just take it without any proof or details and things and put it up all over as if it’s true. Rumors are bad enough by themselves, but it’s even worse when people help spread them. Would just be nice if people would actually do the research once in a while.

Ranked Warzones

I will be honest in the fact that I really don’t understand or know much about ranked Warzones. I do know they are essentially Warzones for 8 people put up against another 8. However, the “ranking” doesn’t seem to work too well yet as a lot of people who have yet to be ranked are being put up against teams that are ranked already and pretty high too which means you won’t really start out with anything good…which already sucks.

Having looked through some stats, you’d probably have to win quite a bit. As in like over 50-100 times and your losses would have to be pretty low. And eventually, no matter what, you will get paired against the good teams (unless you try to look them up ahead of time) and get completely obliterated. And even if you do get that high by luck of getting teams worse than you, there will always eventually be new people actually good at PVP who will also kick your butt.

Now, I’m very big on fairness. I hate exclusivity unless there is another way for someone to be able to get it. And it finally dawned on me that one of the speeders (while I mentioned they aren’t priority, I do still want them all eventually) requires 2200 Ranked Warzone Rating. I believe the highest is 2400 and that’s 2200 is what you need for the Rated stuff. So I have no clue how I’m going to get that, if ever. Not to mention that means those who are that high will continue to slaughter you with their fancy new gear.

And I’m essentially stressing as:
1. If they’re doing that with the speeder, then what? What happens if pets are also done like that? and I’m essentially freaking out.
2. They get reset every season. While this has it’s pros (not to mention, you could quickly try to get your ranked up early on), that also increases the chance of just general craziness when it does reset. Especially as Season 1 is supposed to start some of the official rankings which…I just hope, if they do prizes for that, it’s just recognition and/or credits. Because special pets or mounts for the highest in PVP will make me cry.

The thing is, people PVP because they enjoy it. Similarly, people PVE because they enjoy it. Forcing someone do one or the other really sucks. I wasn’t too fond of the giant Bantha world boss in the PVP zone because of how crazy it was, though, it was still fun, but I’d be lying if I said I wanted to have that happen again anytime soon.

I personally find Expertise a stupid stat. I know why it exists, but I still think, if they really did the whole “YOU CAN LEVEL YOUR WAY”, that it seems silly to force people to do the other to get gear for something else. And since there’s codexes and things to collect involved, if you do want to collect them all, you will have to suffer through both. And I believe I mentioned before how I wish PVP could have no kills and just stuns/push backs and solely focus on Objectives. I get that people would be all “IT’S NOT FAIR AS PVPERS CAN GET THEIR GEAR FASTER” but if they prefer to PVP, would they really be doing much PVE? Similarly

or at the very least, make it tradeable/sellable. Honestly, the amount of stuff bound in this game can be infuriating. I have seen many people roll on things accidentally and try to give them to the other person as have I seen people who have gotten the pet and/or mount drops and do not care for it and/or everyone already has it or etc. and do not want it in any case whatsoever.

And I’m still stuck with 3 Sorveigns in the bank.

But yes, I’m paranoid and stressing out and while I think Ranked Warzones are a great addition for people who really want more competition in their warzones, I wish there weren’t so many special things tied to it. I mean, they could’ve even just made the gear orange rather than having increased stats for those same people to further annihilate you. And if you’re a person who enjoys PVP, you’d want to do the Ranked anyway probably. I just don’t like feeling forced to. For now, I just need to try and stop thinking about it…but that speeder is going to haunt me :/

On the bright side, at least I finally got a Advanced Resolve Armoring 25. …now I just need to upgrade everything to 26. 🙁

(oh, and btw, asking if a Sage is a Tank is really silly 🙁 you can see what class someone is!)

So many feelings

With getting my Midnight Rakling finally, I’ve been a little confused on what to do. I technically only have 2 confirmed pets left–one which is still just a giant rumor (which people unfortunately keep circulating :/) while the other…well, Karagga’s Palace only can be done twice a week (once on Nightmare/Hard and once on Normal aka Story). I will probably try and queue up in ground finder later today if our guild doesn’t decide to do it for fun or something. Main worry here is I’d rather not compete with people for it. It’s just been too long and I’m so close.

With the Wonderous/Wondrous Egg, I decided to explore Explosive Conflict some more. However, it can be a bit boring 🙁 Would be a lot more fun if I had someone to explore with, but regardless I will probably explore a bit more tomorrow as I only managed to explore about half way.

But yes, I just wish the rumors could finally end and maybe the egg could be figured out. I really hate false information :/

Also may try and explore Taris again to find nests…. but I just seem to be so bad at doing so ._.

On a different note, Marilea is apparently an actual name and a form of Marilee (and can be pronounced like Marilee or lee-uh at the end instead). It also can mean Star of the Sea in Latin…for names anyway.

…To think, I came up with a name randomly that turned out to be a name afterall. Well, that works I suppose.

Yes. That is what you think it is. I finally got a Midnight Rakling! The tank we were with was kind of iffy (lost aggro a lot, barely listened to questions and seemed confused despite supposedly having done this before–also didn’t bring the final boss in his final phase to the door and now I know why it’s so important to) and despite my really wanting the pet, let me know that he wanted it because a bunch of his guildmates had it 😐

again, seriously, just… if you don’t truly, really, want something and there’s someone there who does, just…don’t roll on it unless they say it’s okay. For example, I’m not a huge mount person so unless I’m told to roll, I usually won’t unless the people who REALLY want it already have theirs. I’d like to collect all the mounts on day because I like collecting but that’s it…with the exception of like…animal mounts. Those are on pet level of want.

Obviously, there is still the Wonderous/Wondrous Egg aka Orochick, but it has yet to be proven to come from Explosive Conflict so there really is no confirmation on how to get it–just that it’s in the game. Obviously, that doesn’t mean I’ll give up though…but it’s not like I can do EC anymore than we already are (though, if we start Hard Mode next week, maybe we can do it twice a week for both). Regardless, since the M0-GUL Thrall Droid is the pet I have been missing the longest (2 big patches now!), it really is my priority so if I had to pick a raid… I’d pick Karagga’s Palace/Hutt Hospitality. Not to mention, at least it’s confirmed from that while for all we know, Orochick may not come from Explosive Conflict at all and it may just be a red herring. And of course, while it’s likely the other 4 1.3 pets (2 more Akk Dogs and 2 more Lobels) are in, there still is no proof yet so… but I definitely would like to look into those too.

Anyway, I’m just super excited. So close to being done! And I never have to do Lost Island again! …except, you know, if someone really needs my help.

Still no Luck

I managed to get another group last night… well, sort of. I actually went to get water and apparently the queue popped while I was away. When I got back, it had just closed. Thankfully, the tank knew me and is a friend of mine and I explained what happened and he said he’d do it with me after. It was an…interesting experience as the first three times, we got people who kept declining…. two more times, we got people who set their role incorrectly… then finally, we got another person and in the end, we had 2 Sentinels.

I was a bit nervous, but it actually went incredibly well. I find constantly moving better as I can use my AOE heal to not just heal everyone–but also keep it on me to help keep my force up. We also got the boss down within one rotation of the room. (We actually wiped the first time, but that is because one of our sentinels disconnected. When he got back, however, it was easily done and over with.

Everything went well, honestly. Unfortunately, the pet still didn’t drop. I probably won’t have time to get a group today (or at least, not until late tonight) as it’s just..a busy day for me.

In a different note, I really wish there was a good list of Area Quests. Mostly because I have this fear that I somehow missed one after stumbling upon one while Taunlet questing. Unfortunately, I have yet to find one :/

Also, for those on the Ebon Hawk server, this sounds totally awesome and I hope maybe our server will do something like that one day too.

Probably what I needed

After my last entry, it was pretty interesting that I received a whisper about Lost Island shortly after. They asked if I was DPS in which I replied I wasn’t and could not really go DPS spec and wasn’t familiar with it. To my surprise, they responded saying they could switch to DPS if I wanted to heal and asked what my condition was (I had put Lost Island HM (1 Condition) as my LFG thing because if it happened again, I’d rather not think of what would happen if it did…and I do know some of my guildmates (heck, even my boyfriend) do really want it too and probably wouldn’t pass). They said it was no issue and thus, the group was made.

And we finished in roughly 20 minutes (a little less–probably would’ve been even lesser, but despite making it so we could skip the Rhino, they decided to do it for the heck of it). I died once (My fault–lagged when the guy was doing his smash. Apologized repeatedly.) and that was it–they even still beat the guy despite the fact I died. The tank died at the end once (I resurrected him very quickly though and kept everyone else up so we didn’t wipe. Not sure what made his health drop so fast), but in general, everyone lived and did fine. We had 2 Sages (myself and one DPS) and 2 Knights (Guardian Tank and Sentinel DPS–the Sentinel being who the person who whispered me switched to) and despite the extra Melee, that was probably the most painless Robot attempt I’ve done. Nobody died, everyone was usually at full health (few instances where I got out of range so some people’s health would drop a bit then), and it just went really well. I mean, people’s health bars were usually above 70-80% for the most part. Usually never less than 50% except on the rare occasion. Heck, I only had force problems once or twice too.

I don’t know what they did differently. It didn’t feel much different than other runs other than going a bazillion times faster and less death (which there were only 2 and neither caused a wipe). I’m not sure what gear they had either, but it was just…surprising and ridiculous and painless. And I even got a message from the Sentinel-healer-person that they would love to run it with me again (unfortunately, I couldn’t respond before they had to go, but I did send them mail!) and I probably needed that as it made me feel like maybe I’m not such a failure after all.

Now if the pet dropped too, I think that would’ve been a miracle. But despite the fact that it didn’t, I feel a lot more okay now.

In a slightly more down note, My computer probably desperately needs an update. Despite having turned everything down to the lowest settings (due to some lag issues), I was still lagging steadily throughout the robot boss and random parts after. Even running through the fleet, with everything as low as possible, I am having issues. Unfortunately, I can’t upgrade it yet (I can’t afford to)–but I really can’t always play on my laptop either 🙁 Just not sure what to do in the meantime.
