Pet Analyzation

While I wait for my boyfriend to get up so we can try out the Belsavis Dailies (although, we’d have to find 2 more people for one of them), I have decided to wander around near the entrance to the area and the fleet and see what pets people may have.

Essentially, this helps me figure out what pets are ingame without bugging people and/or getting trolled by jerks.

And of course, I’ll look for mounts too, but those are a bit harder to identify, sadly.

I will only be counting the ones in the Cartel Packs for now because, well, you can kind of see the ones not in the pack already so…

All of the pets from Dulfy’s Guide have been found and were carried over to live.

As for SWTOR-Spy’s list, I know some people have gotten thrones, but I don’t think it is any of those… another similarly named one is the Ubrikki Crimson Skull which I haven’t seen, but I have seen the Ubrikki Crimson Claw.

Moving on to pets, the only ones seen thus far have been the Red-Backed Gizka and the Ruddyscale Kowakian Monkey-lizard. No others from their pet list have been spotted yet or if they have, nobody has said anything.

The main thing is there are a lot of “What if’s” and I would like to not see something like the Wonderous Egg happen ever again. EVER.

which I think is why it upsets me so much they didn’t release a list. For the record, a list wouldn’t ruin the money they’d make (in fact, more often than not, you’d actually encourage more people to try a box) as usually what sells is the actual opening/surprise factor.

One of my favorite things when I was little was when my dad would come home with boxes of Pokemon cards and Beanie Baby cards and he and my mom and I would sit on the bed and open all of them and organize them because opening booster packs was ridiculously fun and there were so many. That is essentially what these work on–that surprise factor and the excitement of opening something.

Just think to Christmas morning–sure, what was actually in the gift was nice, but a big part of it was just opening it and the more you had to open, the more exciting it was. With each box, the excitement increased.

and this is why people go in debt because of stupid things like this and if you see me thinking of buying more boxes, someone SLAP me.

…and for some reason, I keep getting an error when trying to log in 😐 So I guess research will be delayed which stinks. I was looking forward to it.

…seriously, this blog is like SWTOR research central. It’s why it was made. And then for some reason all of you people started reading it 😛

Anyway, I guess I’ll just talk for a bit while I wait until they somehow fix this (speaking of which, I noticed the time is off on the website… I guess they didn’t modify for DST? But I’m not sure how to change that either).

Umm…firstly, I hope they come out with customizations for HK-51. I think he’d look nice in HK-47’s copper.

I really hope we can do Dreadtooth soon. Really want to look into that cave more and since current ideas are based off a mask and necklace that drop from him (well, necklace most likely also drops from him–just on much higher stacks), I kind of need to start doing him? Of course, the guild is currently focused on NM EC as are many guilds with firsts in mind and whatnot (but honestly, how can you appropriately evaluate a first anyway? If someone starts earlier than you and has more time doing it, it’s not really a surprise if they get it first. It seems kind of odd to judge something if you don’t have everyone start at the same time)… but I just want to solve Cave mysteries 🙁

speaking of Cave Mysteries, that was part of the fun with scanning even if it took FOREVER. It was like being an archeologist~ Considering how the story is on the Republic side, I probably will have to do HK again on my Imperial character as it’s just so much different. Part of me is looking forward to it as I did have fun, but parts of it scared me. I’M LOOKING AT YOU CREEPY SHIP. Regardless, this is making me want to finish up Corellia and Ilum for Amidaia, but I’m pretty sure my boyfriend still wants to work on his bounty hunter with Cellina 🙁 Don’t get me wrong, the agent story is quite interesting, but I hate doing things out of order and skipping around. Having several companions with various levels isn’t very fun to me.

MOVING ON… someone did finish EC HM but I saw no pet drop 🙁 Which makes me sad. I mean, it was confirmed a pet would drop from EC NM but I can’t help and be paranoid ._. of course, just because it doesn’t have a high drop rate doesn’t mean it doesn’t drop either…

Regardless, a lot of people in the guild have offered me some of their pets from the Cartel Shop so I am looking forward to when things become unbound. I will also be stalking the GTN like no tomorrow (despite the fact that I am poor and have no money and it will probably make me even more sad if I wasn’t sad enough by how much my luck sucks and these stupid boxes). In the meantime, I have started crossing things out.

While I was hoping to do trades, I don’t think anyone would want any of the stuff I’ve gotten. Of course, I may update with some stuff my boyfriend wants to get rid of or etc. so I guess I will mention when it gets updated… Also, it’s under the “Contact Me” section if anyone was curious.

speaking of items, I have a good contest idea…just need to get something people would actually want 😐

Oh, and I know I don’t have many pictures up… I will hopefully be taking pictures of the pets soon. At least, the ones I have. I don’t think taking a picture on the preview screen looks too great and I’d feel bad using other people’s pictures so… but I shall do my best to have them all soon x__x of course, we don’t even know how many there are yet.

but yes, I will stop talking about random stuff now and end this. WORK LOG-IN THINGY.

Cartel Market Items

So, SWTOR Spy recently put up a list of items that will be in boxes…

I don’t think all of these will be available immediately (someone in the comments says that some are for later) and I noticed some I got on the test server aren’t there as well so I’m not sure what to think…but it does give a bit of idea.

…so many mounts and pets ._.

Edit: So those are apparently the Super Rare items. Which means a good amount of the pets are “Super Rare”. Super Rare = special bonus item not included of the 3/5.

1.5 – November 15th

So, in a week, 1.5 will be upon us. This will bring:

1. Nightmare EC (I will have to add that stupid tank mount to my list. I also have only a week to try and get all the speeders I still need… I don’t see myself getting the Ranked Warzone one–EC HM one is iffy… but I can always try to save for the ones I need to buy*)
2. HK-51 and new dailies + new world boss. I will be on immediately when patch goes up. FYI CERTAIN PEOPLE WHO KNOW WHO THEY ARE.
3. The Cartel Market

So, in Nightmare EC, there was confirmed there would be a pet. I do feel it may be the Wonderous Egg (afterall, how did that rumor start?), but there is no confirmation… if it is though, at least it can be traded so I can just hope someone pities my sad existence outside the doorway.

I’ve already prepared enough gifts to get HK to 10K so yay. I’ll probably be camping myself near where the NPC will spawn the night before so I can grab the quest and head on over to Section X. I don’t really care about getting him geared out right away–I don’t expect to use him much afterall. I just want to see is story.

Still mixed feelings on the Cartel Market. Apparently it will be 5 dollars for 450 Cartel Coins so a bit under a direct transition which kind of stinks.. however, that’s been the kind of thing most cash shops have done lately :/ Still stinks though. I’ll be getting 2800 complementary though… plus a bonus 250 during the actual launch. I still feel it may be slightly off though… and well, I hope that 500 per subscribed month after launch is true. That’d be nice. I plan on buying the speeder and pet available plus 2 of the tops…rest will be spent on packs though.

I just really wish they’d make a list of everything you can get ._. Regardless, I have prepared a trade page and everyone in the Pet Channel is awesome so… shall just hope for the best.

*I have been asked a lot why I didn’t just buy these when they were cheaper. To be honest, if I could, I would have. However, my choices were between stuff that would be GONE and thus, would probably go up to ridiculous points or just the speeders sticking around. In the end, the money went towards the Koreallis Speeders, one of the Prime speeders that was rumored to be going, and to help my boyfriend get his white lightsaber crystal. Sure, I wanted one too, but I knew he wanted it more so that is where all my money went. And it sucks I couldn’t get the speeders at a lower price, but I don’t regret what I did use the credits for.

What to do next~

So, with completing my final pet goal (until the Cartel Market is officially out… I wouldn’t be surprised if it was like the first week of November to be honest), it’s a matter of what to do next… Looking through one of my older lists, I decided to go purchase those Consular’s Exalted Gloves and Boots already! So yes, that is FINALLY done.

That leaves two things on the Priority list. Saving up for speeders where I need to aim for like 3.5 million and the Czerka Crate-o-Matic which involves farming Corellia Commendations.

I’m not sure which will be more painful to earn, but I suppose I should get started. The more goals I can finish before Free to Play, the better.

Why, you ask? Because, the next update brings a lot:
1. HK-51 (who, besides getting, I need to get to 10K ASAP so lots of Companion Gifts needed X_x)
2. A whole new area of dailies.
3. Cartel Market – Need to get lots of pets and mounts, not to mention update the pet guides and getting a complete list is going to suck and I’m stressing just thinking about it, plus other stuff I may like.
4. Possibly setting up new Quick Bars and thus, updating my UI.

And who knows what else. Not to mention we know they are planning an Anniversary Event (and apparently a Life Day event too) so there’s just a lot upcoming and the less I have at once, the better.

Thankfully, Prongs said he’d help me out with HK-51 and then just need to get 3 people to try out the new dailies which will probably be Prongs, Anlorn, and my boyfriend but they don’t know it yet and hopefully that part will be good. Just…so much to do.

…I stress too much 🙁 I know.

I remember it being shown in a datadump some firework items… I wonder if they will be sold or something to celebrate. May be a Cartel Market item…speaking of which…

CARTEL MARKET PREVIEW

Breaking it down:
-Ignoring that the prices are totally marked out… The Carbonite Chamber returns! For those who may be unable to read what it says under it: “Impress your friends by encasing yourself in carbonite! Encase your character in Carbonite while using this effect. This Carbonite Chamber will rapidly heal your character while out of combat.”
-I have circled pets because pets. There is no other reason needed but pets. The Monkey Lizard that was already confirmed is there, however, it seems that there is one other with it. I would guess either a Wraid, Horranth, or Blurrg but I am unsure.
-New speeder! The Longspur Sportster
-It does look like the Cartel Packs are just packs of certain items and not cruel random boxes. The Monkey Lizard is part of the “Crime Lord’s Cartel Pack”. I sure hope the items can be sold/traded or they can be bought separately as I just want the Monkey Lizard.

And while I did not take a screenshot, the Holographic Rancor was also shown so yes, both of the other Fan Favorite voting participants will be available–just not given for free.

Data Dump Revisited

So, a while back, I posted about a data dump. Well, TOR Head recently updated with their 1.4 stuff. I immediately went to the Vanity Pets Category and well… there’s just…so many.

Once again, triplets seem a big theme (Only one that doesn’t have 3 is Nekarr Cat with 4) and while we still have no idea what’s going on with the Wonderous Egg/Orochick and have no clue if the Lobelode can be gotten (would be the first pet not to be available in the patch it was put in)… it’s still quite a bit. I won’t be adding these to the Pet List until more are found, but for now, it’s something to think about.

The only ones not mentioned from the Data Dump were the Akk Dog and Wraid/Lobel. Similarly, Lizard Bat and Nekarr Cat were not mentioned either so there is a chance the Lizard Bat and Nekarr Cat just share similar models with the former.

There are also some interesting mounts too, but I find those to be a bit more confusing (after all, many we haven’t seen since the game came out are listed still) so I won’t look into them too much just yet.

Regardless, I do think most of these aren’t out yet (if any) and several will be for Free to Play as many of the items included in the dump seemed like things for the Cartel Shop and future quests and things. And since it has been confirmed a pet will drop from NM EC, do you think any one of these pets could be it?

Hardcore vs. Casual

More often than not, I have been described as being at Point A and Point B at the same time. You could say I like to multitask so much, I may just have too many feelings.

I have been referred to both of the above and if you have been reading this (and why are, you guys confuse me, god :P), you may have seen aspects of both yourself.

In general, I am a determined person. I also hate starting things without finishing them. Part of why I hate when new content comes out when I haven’t finished something is that it makes my list even longer, stresses me out more, and then I feel even more behind. I still have 6 million I need to somehow earn not counting added things for alts, the increased prices for speeders since 1.2, and other issues. It sucks, honestly.

But because of that determination, if I start something–whether it be an operation or flashpoint, I would be with the worst group possible and I wouldn’t give up. I would do it all day, I’d stay up all night, and I’d keep doing it until it was done. I don’t like leaving things unfinished. Ever.

Despite that, I think repeating things over and over is stupid. I don’t understand how someone could do dailies more than once. The credits just isn’t worth it enough for me, as much as I need them.

In general, when it comes down to my priorities, Gear and Credits/Commendations are at the bottom of it. Unfortunately, those are the same things needed to actually get my goals. It’s a horrible Catch-22 and while I do work hard on my gear, I really can’t do much with dailies as then I just…don’t want to play. Even if I get like 1 million in just a few days, I would essentially not be playing for about a week because it ruins the game for me. Like, I can’t stress that enough. It just completely kills it for me and I can’t deal with it.

I can somewhat deal with flashpoints and operations (unless it’s EV), but even then it’s still somewhat iffy. It’s for that reason I’m a pretty “all or nothing” person in the fact that I don’t want to keep repeating the same things over and over to just get to where we ended up being stuck before. I just want to keep going and going until we have where we’re stuck down, finish it now, then try and get what we need so we never have to see it again.

I do like to help people though and more often than not, I won’t have an issue helping someone out. Even if I have everything I need~ However, I do not like being used and there are times I may want to do something for myself and I do not like or appreciate being guilt-tripped to go and do someone a favor (and then hear them criticize me).

And as most people know, I do a lot of these things to collect. Knowing there is a possible and actually confirmed pet at the end of TfB waiting for me to repeatedly kill that guy to get it and the cave mystery is driving me crazy that I just can’t experiment with it more is essentially making me nuts. The Orochick upsets me in the fact that it has been CONFIRMED to be ingame and the whole thing is just a mess and I would really appreciate if they could just give me a straight answer on the Orochick being bugged or not.

But regardless, I suppose my go go go go go go until it’s dead and crazy collectiony policy clashes a lot with my repetition sucks, gear is silly and shouldn’t be so important, DAILIES ARE THE DEVIL policy. It also confuses people how much I hate PVP but keep doing it due to Ranked-speederness and the fact that I need 100 Valor for codexes. And it makes me sad when everyone wants to stop 🙁 (which is usually everyone but me but still).

Or even all the speeders when I think some of the colors are super ugly. I mean, I’m not like this in all games (and my boyfriend has pointed out that a “casual” collector would just be happy of a color of each and not care about getting every single one in every single color)–for example, in racing games with garages, I will usually just get one color per car unless there’s another color I REALLY like or something. But this game doesn’t have a crazy crowded garage–it just has an inventory thingy (though, wouldn’t it be cool if you had like…a speeder garage on your ship?).

In general, I’m just… a bit different I suppose. But I guess that just makes me… me.

Q&A-ness

So, I am home and now reading over the Q&A (Yay for transcripts. I shall definitely watch after). To be honest, I’m super sad that I didn’t get to watch live 🙁 Regardless, yay for new information! If only it was longer.

BUT YES, ONTO THOUGHTS. I won’t comment on everything and mostly just highlight what I am excited about…but yeah XD

-Confirmed that Free to Play is coming in November.
-Some early gear sets. Also some experience boosts separate from legacy.
-New daily questing area coming soon~ (And we already knew about the Hypergates and stuff)
-Paid transfers are coming.
-” In a future update when we release Mekab there will be continuation of where the story left off.” yeeeeeeeeees.
-“you will see that a couple weeks before we launch the FTP option players can go into the PTS and our intent is for anybody that logs into PTS to get some Cartel Coins that they can play with only on PTS – those don’t xfer to the live game! We will have items for sale on PTS that people can go in, make purchase and give us feedback.” more yeeeeeeees. As for why this would excite me, it’d be nice to see stuff I’m going to want in the main game along with learning prices of things like…oh…I don’t know… PETS.
-Looks like the 350 BH Commendation Implants may be a mistake and not actually coming out immediately: “The side effect of PTS is that occasionally items that are not intended for live made it up there and unfortunately that specific item was the case of that. So that item in particular is going to be removed, reviewed, and hopefully a better version will come out in a future update.”
-While HK-51 will be out by the end of the year, Cathar may take somewhat longer: “Cathar and HK-51 are both in the works. HK-51 I am confident that you will see before the end of the year. Cathar have no definite timeframe at this point but we intend to introduce them as the first species in SWTOR.”
-Mounts and Pets for the Cartel Shop! Also some gear sets, but will have no impact on endgame. Sounds interesting: “The gear you will find will be interesting to everyone because it is not going to be restricted by class or by faction and all moddable”
-“We also have a really cool thing called Cartel packs. Cartel packs you buy give you a random assortment of really cool items and a chance to get some of the cooler items that maybe in the game (not powerful, but very cool – they going to make you look AMAZING!)” I just hope it’s just a pack of various items over some kind of random item box.
-Nightmare EC and Nightmare TfB will have various differences besides just being harder.
-Whether the XP Boosts and Rocket Boots will be overlaps of the legacy system or just alternate ways to purchase currently unknown as they couldn’t say.
-Cathar can be purchased with Cartel Coins (as well as credits I think? Wording is kind of odd). More may be available to as well over using credits.
-Hood toggle option still coming.
-More content for smaller groups of players coming.

There wasn’t really anything else in particular. Wish they answered some of the stuff I was really wondering about 🙁

So, a very awesome friend (even if he is evil sometimes) let me replace him for Nightmare Pilgrim again! T~T SO I GOT MY ARATECH CORAL! OMGYAY!

And on top of that… I won the boots! YES! So now I only need my gloves! (Though, I will have my 2-set bonus regardless of if I keep this ugly hat or get the gloves) It’ll give me the 4 set bonus then if I bother to care 😛 Speaking of which, I wonder if there will be a transfer set bonus to mod thing in the Cartel Shop…

But yes, thank you guys sooooooo much T~T so happy~
