  • Pets get Complicated

    Remember that old F.A.Q. Question? Well, it’s back up.

    In addition to the Cartel Coins, each of our retail partners offer an exclusive mini-pet that will be added to your account when you redeem your Cartel Coins Card here on this website.
    The currently available pets are:

    BestBuy: Arctic Manka Lynx – Renowned for its speed and grace, this Arctic Manka Lynx will loyally follow you on your adventures across the galaxy.
    GameStop: Lobelode – The Lobelode is hardy and persistent, at home in even the most dangerous and exotic environments you could visit.
    EU Retailers: Forest Nekarr Cat – Known for its agility and viciousness, the Forest Nekarr Cat will loyally explore the galaxy with you.

    The one in bold is the newest edition–the pet that has only started popping up recently. The question now is if they are still from space pirate packs or if this is really where they were from all along. 🙁

    Also, the Gree Event is returning tomorrow so for those who were good and don’t suck like me, you should be able to get more stuff!

  • Forest Nekarr Cat

    Yes, it does exist. No, there are currently no confirmations on how to get it (although, again, it does exist–proof of that has been given).

    My idea is it was forgotten from the Space Pirate’s Cartel Pack (as that is where it was originally rumored to be in) and is a late addition.

    This, of course, opens up the idea that there could be other late additions. If you see someone selling the Forest Nekarr Cat, please contact the seller and see where they got it. Edit: Confirmed to be from the Space Pirate Cartel Pack.

    and if anyone gets on on the Shadowlands, please send me it …no seriously, please. (and dwedtoof)

    Edit: And to add, from the 2.0 patch notes:
    “Dread Master Styrak now has a chance to drop a Kell Dragon vanity pet.”

    …*sigh* at least it doesn’t sound like it is hard mode only :/

  • New Cartel Pack

    Skip Tracer Cartel Pack is now out costing 360 like usual. I’m patching (unfortunately didn’t get a chance to patch early like I usually do) I’ve finished patching and will be probably buy some to check it out. I’m expecting pets and knowing my luck, I will probably not get any of them.

    I think I’ll just have a nervous breakdown over here :3

    Apparently the backflip emote is out and the rare ship pets may be out but we shall see… Also a Holo-Shrub disguise which sounds neat.

    obviously, I want any emotes/mounts/moods/pets I haven’t heard about yet though. That’s kind of a given. And then for Cartel stuff I still need… a white crystal, a cyan-blue crystal (that isn’t endurance), and the throne and Meditation chair from the last pack 🙁

    For reference, the only mount I got was the Longspur Pacer… pets I got–the ones that have pictures and say so in the pet check list, and I didn’t get any titles, emotes, or moods v-v

    After Dreadtooth is defeated, Dreadful Resurgence no longer persists. Dreadful Essence must be used to increase Dreadtooth’s difficulty.
    Dreadtooth’s difficulty when he is affected by 3 or more applications of Dreadful Resurgence has been decreased

    About the only part that caught my interest 😛 Time to save up essences and yay for easierness~

    And now we’re doing HM TfB @-@ I got gloves and all the HM Survived by titles so yay! Too bad it’s not a DKP run though–maybe I could’ve used some of it already. 😛 But oh well, at least I got something.

    And then we even went to Dreadtooth 😀 YAYNESS. And Tourch was nice and gave me the mask so now I have part of the puzzle! WOO.

    And even my boyfriend got to come <3

  • Dreadtooth, Alts, and things

    First of all, I am starting to give up hope on the Tundra Nekarr Cat ever going down 🙁 WHY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO ME? Oh, you have money finally? NOW YOU WILL STILL NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD IT (and/or never see it in the first place).

    Moving on, I really wish I could stalk Dreadtooth for groups. See, these are the things I’d usually do, but he has that stupid debuff to everyone outside the group that pulls and has pretty big aggro range (he chased after me at least 3 times now) so it’s just…not really a great area to watch 🙁 I still need all his codexes though and haven’t even gotten to fight him once… just bleh. If I could camp him and solo him, I’d spend the day doing that–fighting him from 1-5 or maybe higher for testing loot and theories and things. But finding a group of 24 to do that is fairly unlikely. Nobody really cares about those things and I’m sure the cave would be solved if people were up for more experimenting

    I don’t really like depending on people so I don’t ask for favors very much. Mostly because there isn’t much I can usually do to repay the person in the first place. Of course, MMOs require a lot of working together…but I’ve noticed most of the time, nobody has that same curiousity that I do. They just shrug it off and that’s it which means I’ll be alone again. Maybe it may be silly, but is there anything wrong with partaking in an adventure every now and then?

    Regardless, hopefully we’ll get Amidaia and Revenent done and then we will probably get on Cellina and Valda…. or maybe I can convince him to help Speederisk 1 and 2 *bricked*

    But yes, just trying to keep my hopes up… TUNDRA NEKARR CAT GO DOWN ALREADY GOD.

    and I still have to finish space missions too…but…space missions ._.

  • Mari does NM EC – Take 2!

    So, I am doing NM EC tonight @-@ and am super scared. We got Zorn and Toth down but it was super scary and there were only 4 of us near the end and I was healing by myself and omgsoscary 🙁 BUT WE DID IT! So one new codex! Yay!

    Now we’re going to do Nightmare Pilgrim <3 Edit: OMG T~T So, a nice person on the fleet gave me 3 pets! SO AWESOME. So now I have a Micro-Patroller Droid, a Micro-Defender Droid, and a Mottled Blurrg :D Shall upload with their pictures later tonight <3 So, pets still needed: -Tundra Nekarr Cat -Speckled Blurrg -Lurked Blurrg -Micro-Aggressor Droid -Green-Spotted Gizka But yay for progress T~T Edit 2: NM EC is evil and I hate it ._.

    Edit: New Cartel Pack :/ Obviously new pets… will be trying soon. There is a Life Day Bundle–seems to contain everything. Worth it for everything I want. I don’t care for the Life Day Robes, but it was cheaper than buying everything else separately. Not sure what I will do with them yet…

    Got the Life Day pack. There’s Grade 7 Star Parts (1,300 for all of them) up for sale. I’m tempted, but not going to get them just yet… I’d rather buy them with credits. Also, no luck on the Czerka Crate-o-Matic with my 28 boxes 🙁

    Saw someone with a Mottled Blurrg…there’s one new pet. The other new pet confirmed is the one in the picture of the pack which is the Tundra Nekarr Cat.. so up to 2 now.

  • Data Dump Revisited

    So, a while back, I posted about a data dump. Well, TOR Head recently updated with their 1.4 stuff. I immediately went to the Vanity Pets Category and well… there’s just…so many.

    Once again, triplets seem a big theme (Only one that doesn’t have 3 is Nekarr Cat with 4) and while we still have no idea what’s going on with the Wonderous Egg/Orochick and have no clue if the Lobelode can be gotten (would be the first pet not to be available in the patch it was put in)… it’s still quite a bit. I won’t be adding these to the Pet List until more are found, but for now, it’s something to think about.

    The only ones not mentioned from the Data Dump were the Akk Dog and Wraid/Lobel. Similarly, Lizard Bat and Nekarr Cat were not mentioned either so there is a chance the Lizard Bat and Nekarr Cat just share similar models with the former.

    There are also some interesting mounts too, but I find those to be a bit more confusing (after all, many we haven’t seen since the game came out are listed still) so I won’t look into them too much just yet.

    Regardless, I do think most of these aren’t out yet (if any) and several will be for Free to Play as many of the items included in the dump seemed like things for the Cartel Shop and future quests and things. And since it has been confirmed a pet will drop from NM EC, do you think any one of these pets could be it?
