Q&A-ness

So, I am home and now reading over the Q&A (Yay for transcripts. I shall definitely watch after). To be honest, I’m super sad that I didn’t get to watch live 🙁 Regardless, yay for new information! If only it was longer.

BUT YES, ONTO THOUGHTS. I won’t comment on everything and mostly just highlight what I am excited about…but yeah XD

-Confirmed that Free to Play is coming in November.
-Some early gear sets. Also some experience boosts separate from legacy.
-New daily questing area coming soon~ (And we already knew about the Hypergates and stuff)
-Paid transfers are coming.
-” In a future update when we release Mekab there will be continuation of where the story left off.” yeeeeeeeeees.
-“you will see that a couple weeks before we launch the FTP option players can go into the PTS and our intent is for anybody that logs into PTS to get some Cartel Coins that they can play with only on PTS – those don’t xfer to the live game! We will have items for sale on PTS that people can go in, make purchase and give us feedback.” more yeeeeeeees. As for why this would excite me, it’d be nice to see stuff I’m going to want in the main game along with learning prices of things like…oh…I don’t know… PETS.
-Looks like the 350 BH Commendation Implants may be a mistake and not actually coming out immediately: “The side effect of PTS is that occasionally items that are not intended for live made it up there and unfortunately that specific item was the case of that. So that item in particular is going to be removed, reviewed, and hopefully a better version will come out in a future update.”
-While HK-51 will be out by the end of the year, Cathar may take somewhat longer: “Cathar and HK-51 are both in the works. HK-51 I am confident that you will see before the end of the year. Cathar have no definite timeframe at this point but we intend to introduce them as the first species in SWTOR.”
-Mounts and Pets for the Cartel Shop! Also some gear sets, but will have no impact on endgame. Sounds interesting: “The gear you will find will be interesting to everyone because it is not going to be restricted by class or by faction and all moddable”
-“We also have a really cool thing called Cartel packs. Cartel packs you buy give you a random assortment of really cool items and a chance to get some of the cooler items that maybe in the game (not powerful, but very cool – they going to make you look AMAZING!)” I just hope it’s just a pack of various items over some kind of random item box.
-Nightmare EC and Nightmare TfB will have various differences besides just being harder.
-Whether the XP Boosts and Rocket Boots will be overlaps of the legacy system or just alternate ways to purchase currently unknown as they couldn’t say.
-Cathar can be purchased with Cartel Coins (as well as credits I think? Wording is kind of odd). More may be available to as well over using credits.
-Hood toggle option still coming.
-More content for smaller groups of players coming.

There wasn’t really anything else in particular. Wish they answered some of the stuff I was really wondering about 🙁

Revisiting the old “Expansion Pack”

While responding to someone, I ended up looking this back up. While it seems the initial idea of a specified Expansion may be gone (as Makeb and Cathar being anything but just actual content updates would be surprising due to the fact that it hasn’t been mentioned as anything otherwise besides that server before they were properly announced), there’s still a lot of things we haven’t heard about though. We also know the Kowakian Monkey Lizard was going to be available from the Cartel Market instead now.

For example:
1. The two-person speeder (it was mentioned off-hand once since…but not in a long while)
2. Ewok Companion – Right now, we’re still waiting on HK-51. However, I would love to see more companions and never see Iresso again and Ewoks are adorable. This does bring up some lore issues according to my boyfriend who said that the Ewok planet shouldn’t even have been discovered yet though. However. Naboo supposedly hasn’t been discovered either and it is mentioned on Hutta during the Agent storyline.
3. More schematics. They’ve slowly been bringing these out anyway, but I’m curious to which they mentioned here.
4. More Vanity Items. Always welcomed~ Curious to see what they were planning.
5. More character slots (While still confirmed to be coming, the details are still unknown)

And there were also 90 free days and a 10 day head-start which I’m not sure if that will still be coming considering it may no longer be an expansion pack.

To be honest, if the expansion pack just includes the stuff early plus a few of these things even if Makeb, Cathar, and the Kowakian Monkey Lizard and no longer original to the expansion…I’d probably still get it. 90 free days for 10 bucks is pretty good and head starts = awesome.

Speederisk is born

So, after some conversation with a friend of mine, I decided to begin work on Speederisk. Who is Speederisk, you ask? He is my temporary Jedi Knight to get through the story and all his companions to 10K. He hopefully won’t be around for long.

I’m…pretty bad at melee, to be honest. Although, the jumping is kind of fun, I wouldn’t say it is enjoyable to me. I made him a sentinel so I can kill things faster. But yes, we’re just going to try and get Speederisk to about level 35 (so he can do Quesh without dying every 5 steps) and then rush him through the story and then get all his companions up to 10K and he shall be done and I can delete him and make Speederisk II (II may or may not actually be included), my Sith Warrior and do the same.

I was going to do him last, but it gave me something to do while allergies kick both my mine and my boyfriend’s butts (which is leading to us, unfortunately, not being up at the same time as much) and thus, can not play together as much 🙁

So, I received answers to my full codex ticket today 🙂 And now pretty much all my glitched codexes have been fixed. They only ones that could not be fixed are the PVP ones as apparently they just can’t fix achievement-based ones but they’d look into the issue and The History of Tatooine which due to how it’s gotten apparently couldn’t be confirmed if I did it or not. It’s understandable though.

But yeah, he let me know if it was Imperial only or a different class only and everything got worked out.

Waiting to hear back on the Zabrak issue and staying hopeful as despite no downtime tonight, the vendor will still be leaving at 3AM EST. Shall edit this if I have any updates.

Edit: So, this has turned out to be quite a more serious predicament than expected! Right now, I have to stay logged out for 10 minutes while they do some serious testing.

I explain the issue to them and they tell me it is working as it is supposed to. I’m confused as I swear I’ve seen Imperial colored Jedi. I wonder if maybe I’m just crazy, but I’m just pretty sure. So, we continue talking and they tested it twice buying the perk and didn’t get the option so they believe this is just how it is and they said they can give me the 1.5 million back.

So, I ask in General Chat if anyone has unlocked the Zabrak race and made an Imperial colored Republic character. A nice person named Rishy tells me they have and I excitedly confirm with them and they tell me where to meet them so they can switch. So, they log into Derpina who is a red Zabrak Jedi Sage. I show Customer Support and now they are trying to figure this out. It seems, for whatever reason, you only get all the options if you unlock it through a level 50 character over buying it which isn’t how it is supposed to work. They leveled a Sentinel so as expected, it doesn’t have to be a specific faction to unlock. It’s just supposed to unlock both sides regardless.

Hopefully they can just flip some kind of switch in my account for me and then just work on the bug as I’d really love to make my Trooper tonight. Anyway, just 2 minutes to go until I can log back in! Going to try and stay hopeful 🙂 At the very least, this proves I’m not crazy!

Datacrons + Disappointment

If you don’t mind not leveling super fast, it doesn’t hurt to go a bit out of your way to get datacrons. The reason I say this is because something I noticed when going back to help people with datacrons…it feels like it takes forever.

If you keep an eye out for where datacrons should be while heading there, it is actually a bit shorter since a turn out of your way and then back to your quests isn’t so crazy as going all over and deeper and then the long ride to a whole other section of a planet (or off it) when you finished it a long time ago.

Regardless, I still like helping, but I’m glad we did it the way we did on our main characters. Going back for some on Amidaia will suck 😛

Now, moving on to the latter part of my subject…I know a lot of people knew I was working very hard to save up for the Zabrak race so I could make Zoara, right?

I hit the 1.5 million so I asked my boyfriend to lend me 150K so I wouldn’t be completely poor. He did as he was excited too. I buy the race, I delete place-holder Zoara, I go to make permanent Zoara and there’s a problem. I noticed that when you had something special unlocked with Twi’lek, there were little yellow lines (along with the text being a glowy yellow with a little shield icon) where the unlocked stuff were–these were not there for Zabrak. I shrugged it off and went through the skins but nothing. No pink skin at all.

So, I hop on the Imperial side and check classes that normally do not have Zabrak as an option (Like Imperial Agent). They have just the Republic options. When I check a class that normally does (for example, Sith Warrior), they just have the Imperial options. It’s…very odd. I had no issues with unlocking Twi’lek, but Zabrak seems to be a mess. I went and sent a bug report in 🙁

I just hope they can fix it ASAP or like activate something in the background for it rather than having to wait for a patch…because next patch, the Vendor is being removed and I’ll feel…really bad. Just need to hope there’s some support around to answer my ticket today 🙁 Shall be online most of the day praying for it, really~

What To Do

So, recently, it hit me exactly what day today is. It is Thursday which is our new EC Normal Day due to the HM run being on Tuesday (as Reaper can’t run Thursdays).

I…don’t really want to go. Of course, I still feel loyal to the guild, but I am just so frustrated. I don’t really care about having things on farm. We’re not helping anyone with this run (nobody needs anything). We’re just doing it. Why? To remember that we were kicked from the HM group? And considering last week we only managed to get 2/4 (due to several changes), I don’t want to go again. I just don’t.

One person already went Hiatus from Raiding. I can’t help but wonder if it is partially due to this.

But, to make things more difficult, as you know, I went and raided a HM 16-man EC run (And I have to say I love 16-man as it really helps me learn the positioning of a fight) and due to the glitch with Mine-guy, we could not finish…they did, however, fix the glitch and so I have been invited to finish it up and get my final two codexes–plus my Aratech Midnight.

I am inclined to go with that as:
1. I hate leaving things undone. Seriously.
2. It was a raid with a lot of people I knew from outside the guild who I happened to be friends with.
3. It was actually fun–sometime I haven’t felt since all the HM EC stuff in our guild.
4. It will finish off almost all my codexes. I’d only need Nightmare KP ones (the title included) and then the rest are just glitched.

Of course, regardless of which I’ll pick, I will feel bad. As it is, my boyfriend isn’t feeling too well regardless (and is beyond pissed off with the whole situation) so he will most likely not be raiding tonight. I actually do have to bake cookies with my sister (once again I have been volunteered to make cookies for people 😐 ) so I may not even be on for the EC Normal raid which starts at 8. I should be on by 8:50 though, when the EC HM raid starts (and this is why I can’t just do both).

I also just…don’t feel wanted? I mean, when the person who you originally thought hated you (later learned he just has a kind of dry sarcasm) seems to be the only one who cares about you being there or staying, there is something wrong. Or you know, if you mention not being on due to being in a car accident and get only responded to by that same person while after a pause, the other people just go back to talking about some concert or show they saw. Thanks for the concern, guys.

In the meantime, I’ve been getting even more focused on gear. This is because I just want to get out of this outfit so badly (unfortunately, I only have like 400K so not sure if I can afford too as while other stuff was lowered to like 25K, Campaign/26 stuff is 30K :|) and I’m so pissed off with them right now and just want to show I don’t suck. And it wasn’t my fault. No, I don’t know or care how your other two healers are doing it, but apparently you’re just scraping by and it seems to be luck as it still takes several goes. I think the only operation boss I’ve always seen take several goes are the two tanks in EC just because of how much precision is needed. One single lag spike could kill everyone.

The Campaign chest and gloves drop from Mine-guy while the Main-hand and Helm drop from Kephess. At the very least, I really hope I can get the chest. Then I’d at least have the chest and pants and it wouldn’t be so horrible. I would say after that, I’d really want the gloves because giant pads on the gloves are just awkward. Of course, I’d love all 4, but I’d feel like a jerk unless nobody needed them. And I still need the boots from Nightmare Pilgrim, but I have to do him 2 more times anyway for the Aratech Coral. Still, hopefully then I will never see him again. He’s not so bad for a Healer though–just need to heal A LOT and avoid circles. It’s really mostly the DPS who need to make sure they listen so they don’t kill themselves.

Going back to more gear specific stuff, I actually saw 3 Advanced Mettle Mod 26 yesterday T__T They were about 500K each and thus, I couldn’t afford any of them. Not to mention 1.5 million is also how much I’d need to make Zoara (which I really want to–I hate having a slot just filled up for no reason. I want to get her made the way she is supposed to be) or I could get the two Ship Dummies with 500K to spare. And yes, Ship Legacy stuff is still super priority to me! But I’m no where close to ever having 5 million for a GTN 🙁 let alone the 1 million for the Dummies (which are probably the lowest priority). Not to mention I still need like 200K-300K for Miisha’s exp. stuff :/ (and I still need to get Amidaia to 50 already! And get all her companions up ._.)

Getting back to my original subject… unfortunately, when I checked this afternoon (though, still can’t afford it), all 3 were gone 🙁 I really should’ve seen if someone could loan me credits considering how rare it seems to be that a Mettle Mod 26 shows up in the first place (I’ve seen plenty of 25’s and many 26B’s and some 26A’s but just 26 is a foreign concept).

Overall though, I still need quite a bit–even though I have been prioritizing the mods. So, list time:

So, I need 2 Advanced Resolve Armoring 26, 5 Campaign Drops for Armorings, 3 Advanced Mettle Mod 26, and 2 Advanced Quick Savant Enhancement 26 for a grand total of lots of emotional pain from EC HM and roughly 6.5 million credits. Lovely.

can I just have a pile of credits? please? ._. then I’d be able to finish all this junk and help my boyfriend get geared too and work on our alts so he can have more to go raid and just earning credits sucks. And while some people in our guild are starting to get these high mods, the whole making people pay for materials that everyone in the guild worked together to get really rubs me the wrong way :/ it may be cheaper (in some cases–though, I don’t believe they can make any of the ones I need ATM anyhow), but the principal of it bothers me too much.

So, normally I don’t use names, but I do sometimes and this will be one of those times! Thus, Floria, a friend of mine, sadly just…doesn’t really play anymore 🙁 I caught him in general chat and teased about his Rocket boots as per usual and to my surprise, HE GAVE ME 2,580,000 AND TOLD ME TO GO BUY ROCKET BOOTS.

so, as I party with my Rocket Boots (and now having 1.6 million, my boyfriend may give me some credits (so I won’t be completely poor) so I can go get the Twi’lek Race and properly make Miisha), I just want to say THANK YOU FLORIA AND I WILL STILL MISS YOU SO YOU BETTER E-MAIL ME (not that you’ll ever see this but you still better sir!).

And then what? + Event Rumors

I get asked this a lot. “So, when you collect all the pets, then what? Just wait for more?” It’s actually a very silly question as I’m a pretty goal oriented person and usually mention that I do have quite a few–just that Pets are my number 1 priority right now.

And what exactly would be all the pets? I believe I’ve stated there’s technically 20 pets confirmed and 24 pets in the game (of course, Beta pets are not counted in this as they are not out yet whatsoever–though, for those curious, it’d be 29 with Beta included).

To be honest, once I get the M0-GUL Thrall Droid, I’d essentially be satisfied as right now, there is no information on how to get the Wonderous/Wondrous Egg. That doesn’t mean I won’t stop trying to figure it out–of course I will! I will constantly keep trying, but I won’t feel frustrated or impatient that I haven’t gotten it yet as nobody has it yet. Nobody knows how to get it. It’s a mystery.

Getting Orochick as well as the M0-GUL Thrall Droid would essentially be the full goal as while I will still keep an eye out of the other 4 pets, they have not been confirmed and thus, I’d rather not drive myself crazy for something that may not even be enabled yet.

But then what would I do, you ask? Well, that’s simple. I’d save up for most of my other goals. For example, I still need 5 million credits for the Ship GTN. Not to mention 1 million more for Both Dummies (as they’re 500K each). After that, I’ll probably either put 2 million towards Rocket Boots, 200K towards the Field Respec, and the 3 million for the Twi’lek and Zabrak races. Though, if I do level up Roseria, I may just need 1.5 million then. Main issue is I do not know how I’ll do leveling up a sage again. However, if my boyfriend and I can get some of our friends to join, I may just try and deal.

After that, it’s a bit of a tie. Besides working on other characters, I’d like to get each (Minus Amidaia and Marilea for obvious reasons) the full Class Experience Boost Perks (275K) and full Exploration Experience Boost Perks (150K) which would be 425K per character (5 other characters = 2,125,000). …I’d also probably have to get it for the being rushed through Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior characters I will be making (that will just be deleted after I get the Companion and Chapter stuff) as they need to at least hit the requirement for Quesh so they can get the shot as to not die instantly 😛 But I’d also like to work on my Mount collection.

But of course, then what? Still easy. I’d like to just unlock everything Legacy-wise for Mari–including stuff she doesn’t need. Would also be tempted to get all the Companion Affection stuff on all my other characters (including Amidaia).

And after that? There’s nothing wrong with saving up credits and commendations for the future now, is there?

Besides that, there are rumors of the Event starting today. It doesn’t look like it is though, but maybe this weekend?

(for the record, it’d be about 16,300,000 to get Marilea all the speeders, all the 1.3 Legacy stuff, the Twi’lek and Zabrak races, Rocket Boots, and the Ship Legacy Unlocks. An extra 6 million would need to be added if I ever tried to unlock all the species, an extra 3,950,000 for the rest of the 1.2 stuff (Dark Side Ability, Rocket Boots/Quick Travel/Fleet Pass Cooldowns), an extra 2,970,000 to get every future character I make all 5 Ranks of Class and Exploration Experience Boosts, Level 1 of Improved Speeder Piloting, and all the Companion Affection Boosts… well, I can probably minus 180K (making it 2,790,000) as I don’t really need the companion stuff on Roseria. For a grand total of 23,040,000… this is why I’m trying to get like 25 million. …too bad it probably won’t happen.

Considering all these weird boxes that recently appeared, I think it might not be too far off. I’m placing my bets on Sunday, since that’s when the Rakghoul Event started. …I also really hope that as I’m going to be busy Saturday 🙁 So I’d prefer it start a day where I will be free for a while (As for why I didn’t say Thursday or Friday, I’m expecting it to be another “can’t miss a day” thing).

Besides that, depending on what rank you get, the Repair-Vendor Droid looks different. I’ve seen Rank 1 and I have Rank 3 so I wonder what Rank 2 is like. I also wonder if the Mail Droid looks different too.

1.3 Beginning Progress

Unfortunately, my mood hasn’t changed much since my last entry. In fact, I probably feel worse after a few more mails and some messages that I’d rather not go into.

In the meantime, I’ve been doing my best to PVP so I can get Lobelisk. I did get Lawgriffarl already though (afterall, I saved ahead. Stupid normal warzone commendation limit):

I’ve also been working on Augment Kits. Unfortunately, I’m out of supplies right now so I can’t make more stuff to Reverse Engineer at the moment 🙁 need more Damind Crystals especially. As expected though, criting on a Kit gives you 2 which is nice. Also bought all 3 ranks of the Field Repair/Vendor Droid and Field Mailbox, so I just need the Respec one which I’ll want just for the heck of it so while a priority, it’s much lower. (I would say current highest legacy priority is the GTN on ship still. Followed by Dummies.)
