L1-L Defender

So, after lots of testing today and help from people killing those who were being jerks to me and someone even showing me other spawn spots, we now have conclusions! 😛

Anywhere that the Ancient Gree Destroyer bot can spawn is where you want to be. Besides the giant dome in the center of the PVP area, it can also spawn in the Southern area in various places.

The robot spawns every 7 minutes.

On rare occasions, instead of an Ancient Gree Destroyer spawning, an Ancient Gree Defender will spawn instead. This robot is a lot smaller than the giant Destroyer Droid–similar to the war bots patrolling around and is about the size of a character.

While Ancient Gree Destroyer will always drop the small reputation, Ancient Gree Defender ALWAYS drops L1-L Defender. Please keep in mind that the bonus quest does ask you to defeat an Ancient Green Destroyer–not a Defender so defeating an Ancient Gree Defender, despite it spawning in the same place (and thus, if one is up, it needs to be defeated before a Destroyer will spawn), will not complete the bonus quest.

More testing

So, I’m testing in the PVP area again to see if there is a difference in size, how different the size is, and probability. So far, it’s all been the same size robot and it drops reputation.

If anyone would like to come help, let me know. I do have my flag glitch again though (why does this glitch constantly hit me–I mean, it’s not a bad glitch, but I don’t want people reporting me when I don’t even know what causes it and I’ve reported it myself X__X)

Also, thank you to the nice people in Carnage Gaming, Republic Guards, BYOB, and Remnants of the Jedi who helped me out without being complete jerks as I test things and defending me. And to the people who invited me to their group and let me rant out lots of feelings 🙁 Sorry for the…awkward greeting.

But finally, if I hit it first and then you start hitting it and tell me “not to do that again” …well, guess what, I can solo it anyway and it’s not like I stole it from you–I hit it first to begin with.

and thank you to those who offer me guild invites, but I just…don’t think I’m ready for a guild anytime soon ._.

Pet Progress

Okay, so I just need:
Gree Data Core – Gree Enclave Reputation
Miniature Gray Secant – Gree Enclave Reputation
Baby Drouk – Section X Reputation
Dwedtoof – 10 Stack Dreadtooth
Shadow Nekarr Cat – Space Pirate Cartel Pack
Model Terminus Destroyer – Space Pirate Cartel Pack
Model Thranta Corvette – Space Pirate Cartel Pack

L1-L Defender – Ancient Gree Destroyer
L1-L Scout – Gree Relay Quest

The Nekarr Cat seems to be selling for about a million while the models are at about 2 million :/ Are those good prices or should I wait?

Going to try and at least get the Gree Data Core and L1-L Scout.

Maybe I’ll stay up all night to work on the L1-L Defender too.

I don’t think I’ll ever get Dwedtoof though and that’s really depressing… :/ I guess I should do my Section X dailies too…but I hate asking for help ._.

sfaslkf;laaf UGH.

Dear Legend Pet,
you are mean and spiteful for not letting me buy you and just letting me use you later like most requirement pets (with the exception of PVP valor).

you make me very sad.

I hate this event so much. ._.

A lot of people disliked the Acquisitions Race, but honestly, that event was my favorite :/

But yes, just…really upset because of the stupid reputation cap and so no matter how much I do and even if I save up tons of reputation, I will never have enough to purchase that pet before it goes and who knows when the event will come back (yes, I know it’s recurring so it WILL come back, but we still don’t know WHEN).

As it is, I have to work next week so this is really the only week I have.

honestly, having a pet dangle over you that nobody can even get sucks and is frustrating.

and I’d rather not see this event ever again and I already have to deal with it for the reputation.

of course, I can’t decide whether these are the 18 pets in the Cartel Pack are worse. Or the fact that the boxes buried me in clothes.

regardless… I just really don’t feel like playing anymore right now. I just can’t deal with that kind of incompletion or seeing something like that RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME and knowing I can’t do anything about it.

Buying it and then working towards legend to use it = good motivation
Seeing it and not being able to do ANYTHING that will enable you to get it in the first place = the complete opposite.

*sighs*

the amount of clothing I got is ridiculous :/ honestly.

And the game is up!

So, 1.7 is officially out and the game is up. Site is still down though which means you can not buy Cartel Coins right now. Regardless, the new pack is out…

Anyway, as for reputation stuff… There’s 2 Gree Reputation pets. They are both 50K each–there is the Data Core at Newcomer and the Miniature Gray Sacant at Legend. I guess this will take a bit of grinding :/

I haven’t seen any of the other Reputation Vendors yet (kind of on Ilum so…), but going through the overview are the following titles:
Republic Battalion – Hero unlocks Hero of Section X, Legend unlocks The Section Guardian
Republic Space Armada – Hero unlocks Hero of Deep Space, Legend unlocks Hyperspace Legend
The Gree Enclave – Newcomer unlocks Gree Research Assistant, Hero unlocks Honored Silver Acute, and Legend unlocks Perfect Gold Bisector
The Voss – Friend unlocks Honored Voss-Friend, Legend unlocks The Chosen of the Voss

You can gain 12,000 a week… which seems like a lot, but I doubt you can get Legend in a week so I’m scared to think of how much you need total. Not to mention this event is only around for 2 weeks so… :/

but yes, shall update this randomly. Time to work on the pet list.

T~T

The Secant’s arrival has changed the terms of the battle on Ilum. This is a PvP region restricted to groups of four players competing over limited resources to achieve daily mission objectives. Operations groups are disallowed in the Southern Bowl, but on PvP servers, the Northern Bowl will still host large-scale conflicts between the Empire and the Republic.

Many repeatable missions are available at each research camp, and those that require entering the Southern Bowl are flagged as [PvP]. These [PvP] missions do not directly require killing players, but the nature of the objectives will pit your group against all others in the region as you compete for limited resources in a relatively dense area. Additionally, the Secant’s Droidsℱ are weaker in the Southern Bowl, making Heroic objectives easier to complete if your group risks a foray into the contested area.

—————–From here

…so, I don’t think I’m looking forward to the event much anymore. I am absolutely terrified :/ Not sure if I should try and get the PVP events done ASAP so as to not worry or wait until later when maybe there won’t be so many people on… all I know is I’m scared.

dear PVPers who read this, please don’t kill Marilea and Mar-gon on the republic side or Amidaia and Revenent on the Imperial side. WE COME IN PEACE. (and I’ll cry if you do ._.)

But what is all this for, you may ask.

Rewards
The Event Missions available during the “Relics of the Gree” event all grant Reputation Trophies for the Gree Enclave, in addition to commendations and credits. Access to titles, adaptive gear, and mini-pets can be unlocked with Reputation Ranks, and those who earn the trust of the Gree will be invited aboard Gray Secant itself!

Additionally, special “Gray Helix” weapons can be purchased with weapon component tokens that can be earned by completing certain missions or defeating the Operation boss at the heart of Gray Secant. These weapons are crafted from ancient Gree technology – you’ll find nothing quite like them in the known Galaxy.

so I need to get tons of reputation points for those pets T___T I really hope there’s no pets for the space missions. I can’t do the hard mode missions but I know those have reputation and bleh :/

“Relics of the Gree” is a new recurring in-game event in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Gray Secant will come and go from Ilum as it continues its millennial mission to gather and analyze infinite data. The event will end when Gray Secant achieves Red Radian and departs the planet – but look forward to its return!

At least if I screw up, it’ll be back… but I’d rather never see this event again 🙁

The event lasts between February 12th and February 26th so… time to work my butt off :/ But yes, Minipet preview from this video:
cutepossibleminipet

ALSO THE JAWA GRAM IS ADORABLE (I hate the cartel pack).
lovebox

but bleh, I really can’t afford this right now so I probably won’t get to try with these Cartel Packs or get any of the Valentine’s Day stuff unless money suddenly hits me in the face ._.

regardless, I will be stalking the launcher all night to get this done ASAP >< Hopefully I can find a 24-person operation group as well for the boss and stuff...

1.7 on February 12th

So, 1.7 will be hitting the servers on February 12th. Yep, this upcoming Tuesday.

I’d probably be more excited if I wasn’t stressed beyond all reason. I will probably do as much as I possibly can for the event that day and then work on getting reputation from various other things.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a new Cartel pack is out as well (although, I will cry)… but honestly, I just wish I wasn’t so behind already. My codexes and goals list say enough 🙁

but yes, off to go camp on Ilum

The Reputation System

Posted earlier was a post on the new reputation system. You can read more about it there–I’m just going to talk about it for a bit.

One of the odd things with the reputation system is that the reputation is earned by items you get from quests–rather than just the conversations or quest completion itself. Similarly, some of it is quite restrictive (like the space armada reputation only being tied to Hard Mode Space Missions).

I’m guessing part of this is they probably can’t add it for quests people have completed and at this point, most people have completed all the quests so those who still had the quests to go would have a bit more of an advantage.

Regardless of that, the weekly cap still seems really odd and the idea of constantly repeating the same few quests for reputation is a bit weird in itself. I mean, I guess more quests in Voss can’t really be repeated, but as for the others, that seems a bit odd.

On the bright side, since everything pools together and you can’t lose reputation, this does mean that there’s no worries of having characters on both sides or a dark side character ruining things. The legacy titles are pretty neat, although, I wish they showed along with your own legacy title. And I’m really curious as to what the items will be.

I am a bit worried about the recurring event ones though… hope I can max that out before it goes away.

Cave is Solved

So, the Amulet does drop from Dreadtooth, on 10 Stacks, which I believe is the max. I don’t know if the amulet is a 100% drop, but I sure hope so XD Supposedly you may be able to get it from 9 too–but he must be Nightmareish for it to drop.

Going into the cave on 16-man HM and wearing the mask while using the amulet causes a boss called the “Dreadful Entity” to spawn.

I believe you get the title “Dread Slayer” upon defeating it.

But yes, a big congrats to Carnage Gaming! Sadly, the amulet has a 24 hour cooldown so you only get one attempt a day….though, currently, if traded (it can be traded for up to 2 hours like raid gear), it resets the timer so that’s probably going to be fixed eventually. You can also watch their stream here while they try 🙂

(and people thought I was crazy. HA.)

Edt: You do get the codex and title “Dread Slayer”. He also drops a Dreadful Orb.
